First off, this isn't a copy of The4thBattalions Lucid Dream story.
So this is how it starts.
I wake up in a battlefield medical tent. I can hear bombs and gunshots in the distance.
I see a doctor next to me. Before I can say it, he says "You're probably wondering who you are and what's going on and what time it is."
He then said "The year is 2020, you are a soldier in WWIII, and your name is (Blocked)"
"Your memory will go back to you in a few minutes, but feel free to ask me any questions. Not like they're gonna send me out into the battlefield anyways."
I asked him why we got in a world war.
He said "Tensions between the United States and Iraq got a bit too hot, and they nuked D.C. with bombs they aquired from Russia. These bombs were most likely stolen from Russia, but at the time, we just thought Russia was giving bombs to Iraq so they could bomb us. We reacted by bombing Iraq and the capital of Russia. By the time we figured this out, the damage was done, and soon all of the world was pulled into this war. You were hit by the shockwave of an RPG blast, and you hit your head when you landed. You were luckier than the rest of your squad, they just kind of ended up like what happens if you drop a melon from a 5 story building. Was pretty ****ing messy. Those Russians just are relentless."
A few minutes later, they just tossed me back out into the battlefield with 4 more people. I knew from the start I was dreaming, but I just decided to go along with the program to see if I could find some insight, or something from this.
I can remember their names. John, the captain. He was your standard "Grizzled Warrior" type.
Kayleigh, a lieutenant, she seemed very sure of herself, a very powerful personality. I found myself attracted to her.
Jake, the Private. He was very unsure of himself, very scared and reluctant to fight.
Anders, a Seargent. He was, and I can't stress this enough, a total douche. He hated everybody and would brag. A LOT.
And then there was me. Telling by the timeline, 2020, I was 21, fresh out of high-school. I was ranked a seargent.
There was a lot of bloodshed. People dying left and right, screams heard everywhere. A mortar hit to my left and blew someones left arm and leg off.
A little while later, Anders shot someone in the head with his M14. He got up, said "I'M UNSTOPPABLE!" and like any movie where someone says that who isn't a main character, he got shot in half. I remember Cassidy saying "Man Down!" before another mortar shell hit near us. Jake lost a leg, and I had to apply a tourniquet and drag him to a safe area. Needless to say, he didn't make it due to blood loss.
I managed to kill some, too,'
Then it happened.
Amidst of all the fighting, I saw a light in the sky. It was 12:05 A.M. at the time. Me and the squad were slowly lifted into the air. I knew immediatly that I was being abducted. Things turned from bloody to freaky. Then I remember...Shapes. Humanoid, but not human. I was strapped to a metallic table.
I looked to my left. I saw Kayleigh, strapped to a different table.
I looked to my right. I saw my parents. I wanted to wake up, but I couldn't. I don't know why. Some dreams, I just can't wake up from. My father was being disected. I saw the humanoid take out his liver. I was instantly filled with rage, I wanted to just get up and kill the alien. But I couldn't. I was strapped to the table. I looked down at my own body. I was cut open. I could see my lungs moving in and out, my heart beating. It started to beat faster. Tha-thump, tha-thump, tha-thump, like a million miles per hour. I passed out. I woke up later, not from my dream, but from being passed out on the, I guess I could say, Spaceship. I woke up, in a cell. I started to think that maybe I wasn't in a dream, that this was actually happening.
I laid down on the cold metal floor, and cried. I asked god how he could do something like this, and then one of the humanoids walked up to the cell. It said, in a distorted voice
"There is no god. You pitiful humans came up with him for a reason, to try to find hope. Let me tell you, human, there is no hope. You will die here, never to be seen again, and nobody will know. Your fellow humans down below on earth are sitting there, like cattle. Sitting there, stupidly, claiming that that land is theirs, while superior beings are planning their slaughter." It chuckled. "Heh, just like cattle" it said.
It walked away. "So, this is how I die." I said, to myself. To my suprise, Kayleigh answered. "No, it isn't" she said to me, from a cell next to mine. She said "All you have to do is wake up. Just wake up."
A door appeared in front of me. It was the door into my bedroom. I looked inside it, and I saw me, laying in my bed. I was relieved. I walked over to my body. I shook it. Then I woke up. I looked to my right, and for half a second, I swore I could see the 21 year old me.

"Certainly more than the regular amount of ninjas."
"Certainly more than the regular amount of ninjas."
Because you are perverted. Either really perverted, or subconciously perverted.
"Certainly more than the regular amount of ninjas."
I don't get them anymore, in fact I seem to be lucky if I dream at all these days.
I prefer subconsciously.
