After watching that video, I realised somthing, it's not the cartoons that are bad, it's Nick, a majority of major complaints have been directed at Nick, and there are great cartoons out there, such as Adventure time, Steven universe, Lego ninjago I recall being pretty good (it's been half an eon sense I've sat down to watch cartoons, so sorry if I'm miss informed), and then outside of CN, you have Disney XD shows like Mighty med, Gravity falls, and heck, back in the day, Sluggterra was by far the best show on TV, and
I'm still waiting for Eli and the gang to go on a rescue mission to the deep caverns for Eli's father.
And I'm not putting anything from Disney here sense there really was only live action stuff on there last time i checked, which technically aren't cartoons, but if the conversation goes that way, I'll oblige, but for now, let's stick with animation
Now where was I? Ah, yes, I know there has been some blunders on these networks, such as TTG, and to a lesser extent Gumball and Clarence, which weren't terrible terrible, just a bit unperfered, (and let us not speak of the unholyness that is Uncle Grandpa, I mean really, the only way to be that is to have an incestuous relationship with your daughter, and than to have that daughter be the genetic ancestor to all living humans) but other than those cartoons where going pretty good, and while I can't say I can confirm his claims about Nick's more recent cartoons (although TMNT is pretty good, and the collective 15 minutes of Harvey beaks a saw where much better than spongbob) just the fact that Nick is tackling the Bigotry problem In the states right now by putting a biracial gay couple in there latest(?) Show and as main characters no less is bold, and if they put proper work into the show and morph it into a franchise to at least come close to spongebob's popularity, than Nick may be able to help stop all this Bigotry.
Also, just as a side note, am I the only one who would love to see a TF2 animated on tv? Not necessarily as a kids program, although censorship has gotten a bit less strict over time, and a lot of kids are playing games such as COD right now, heck, at least one of my friends has been playing that sense he was 5, so I could see it going onto CN with a warning at the very least (and remove the direct sexual references, although it's astonishing what can get past censor ship these days), either that or making it the first thing to go on adult swim to avoid censorship conflicts all together may work, but than if they do anything along those lines they would definitely have to bring in the writers of the animated shorts, because if you watch the "expiration date" short,
As you could hopefully see, in this short and many others, they managed to perfectly catch the personalities of the mercs, so if they could do that, but on a much larger scale (and hand development to a third party) TF2 could easily live on another 10 years, if not 20, so yeah, I think I need to start a petition for this now. Just say'n

The idea of a show based on a rated-T or rated-M game being placed on a network clearly meant for pre-teen kids would cause sizable public outcry (because it encourages the source material) regardless of how many of these kids actually play COD or TF2 or whatever.
Cartoon Network has adult swim, which is not meant for pre-teen kids.

Alright, I know this is a very, very old topic, but I feel enough has happened over the past 11 months to start talking again. A few notable things are the invader him movie, which I hear is going to have the same cast and writers as the series
Another very notable is the recent Duck tales reboot. And Holy crap, it is amazing. I can't wait for the season to properly start next month
Also, something that no one seems to have touched on is Netflix exclusives, I'm not saying they're all good. Most seem like a shameless cash grab by DreamWorks. But there are three shows that I would call definitely worth watching. DreamWork's Dragons: race to the edge, which should get it's 5# season this month. Volition: the Legendary defender: it's Voltron, 'buff said. And finally legend quest. Think a Mexican gravity falls, but with more a focus on Mythology than random monsters, it takes place over the whole world, rather than one small town. And with one of the main characters being the biggest Deus ex Machina to ever Deus ex Machina but possibly only because we have no next to nothing about the perpetrator of said Deus ex Machina

The first time you notice this was with SpongeBob.
As of 2006/2007 I stopped seeing her because the series was more boring.
Now I notice this much more often when I'm with my 9-year-old cousin who watches boring series like Jessie, Peppa Pig, etc.
Today she has become more intelligent and now she sees series that are not stupid.
When I have children, I will not allow them to watch those series.
I feel like they are simply making shows that follow the successful model. When one show works, copies are made. It's why a lot of shows are visually similar now. Simplicity and bright colors, great formula.

Probably because how as the tie progresses, the objective standard of media and art has been destroyed and are now changed into a more "liberal" form. An art form where objective beauty, story thought, moral complexity, and clever references are replaced with a all giddy-show mediocre slapstick that caters to kids who has an attention span in less than 30 seconds.
Back in the days, kids shows show about how courage and heroism are important, how the world isn't nice and how some people can be a big jerk. How you should show disgust to those who fail or who did not contribute to society in a meaningful way. Now its about garbage stuff like accepting others or "always be happy" which doesn't portray how the real world works.
Back then, being tough on others and beat down degenerates so he could improve oneself is encouraged, now failing is encouraged due to mere reason like it hurts the audience feelings as if feelings is the most important thing in the world.
Conclusion is, people should be less sissy and the old-fashioned style of cartoon needs to be brought back. In fact i'd recommend a more gritty tone that shows how cruel the world really are to be an absolute best example of a show to educate the currently bratty children of the next generation.

also
can we appreciate that the first season of the ducktales reboot has quite possibly the most important story arc in the history off this franchise?

Uhm... Excuse me Google? But I remember searching "why children should watch dumb shows" and not this. Thank you.
BECAUSE CHILDREN NEED THESE

Don't Hug Me I'm Scared is still a good kid's show though.
breaktime.
