I listen to a wide variety of genres from 40's swing jazz to progressive death metal, but generally my favorite bands and songs fall under experimental/progressive/psychedelic rock. :huh.gif:
Favorite music would probably be metal since I always come back to it, taking up 50% of the time I listen to music. I usually stick to just death (Gorguts, Immolation, Death), black (Burzum, Deathspell Omega), doom, and thrash in that order of preference, plus whatever subgenres fall under those respective umbrellas. Second favorite genre's screamo - the Orchid, Suis La Lune, Envy kind. Past that, I'll honestly listen to anything from folk to classical (been drowning myself in it ever since a friend showed me Rachmaninoff's 2nd piano concerto at the beginning of the year). I think the only music genre I actively dislike is most anything ska-related, lol.
Mostly the bigger Metal bands, like Metallica (old AND new. Death Magnetic FTW), Megadeth, Slayer, and Pantera. I also like newer metal, like Breaking Benjamin, Avenged Sevenfold, and Disturbed.

I'm always happy just 'cause there isn't a reason to be sad.
Don't take this as there is nothing that could cause sadness. I just mean it's pointless to dwell on it. I mean, depression is so boring.
You're missing a fair deal of music genres. I like rock and metal, but my favourite genre of all has to be punk. And I wouldn't just group that in with rock, especially since metal has it's own genre.
I'm a fan of jazz and blues songs as well, along with ska, classical, some hip-hop/rap... Pretty much everything, except for mainstream pop music.

I saw this post and I had to say something: Breaking Benjamin is not and has never been metal. They're alternative rock, not metal. Sure, they have some heavy songs, but they aren't metal.
This leads me to my second point about A7X. I like them, but they are to metal what Green Day is to punk. I hope you see what I'm getting at.
It seems you have a similar taste in hard rock as me, so I'm going to recommend some metal bands I like, and hopefully you'll like them: Dream Theater, Judas Priest, Bullet For My Valentine, Protest the Hero, Trivium and August Burns Red are all pretty good.
Rock, metal, and recently country are my two genres of choice. Although I tend to avoid the overly patriotic, Christian country artists and the metal bands who specialize in only making noise. Rock tends to vary on what exactly is being played.
Also Blues, blues is big. I forgot to hit "other".
saying electronic is saying too much.
skrillex fans usually are against techno, and are pure electro house artists. and although skrillex DOES make SOME dubstep, we only listen to skrillex's dubstep because it has electro inspirations and we do not like typical dubstep.
so instead of saying electronic, say electro house plz & thnk you

I love Hardcore and Post hardcore! Of course I love any good music whether it be rock, punk, hardcore, metal, pop(not too much here), dubstep, techno, big band, classical, or whatever. As long as it's good I'll listen to it.

The indecipherable white-noise that comes from screamo and related genres is its own level of noise.
That Noise happens to be quite good actually, just need to find the right variety. In fact that's what I'm listening to now, well it's actually post-hardcore but they're very similar.

Well, I tend to enjoy a lot of indecipherable white-noise. You might even enjoy it, too... one day :smile.gif:
