Movie critics who crap on a good movie just because. Before I have a few examples, no, I'm not a DC fan so this isn't about BvS, suicide squad, or whatever comes out. This is mostly the case for Treasure Planet, and Atlantis: The lost empire. Still don't understand how something as mediocre as Frozen gets a higher rating.
Also, Cerroz why is it I always see you making stuff in the realm of complaints? Just sheer curiosity and not trying to sound snarky, etc.

Frozen is just popular, especially among kids. And "mediocre" is a subjective term. correct, but subjective

Because there's a pond of boiling tar where my soul should be.
Anyway, where it's super obvious the movie tries to convince us someone died but we know they'll reappear.

Yeah, that guy in the avatar is me. I'm *that* strange. It happens. Sometimes people act like that. Just go with it. I can offer help with suggestions even before you post them - NOT make your suggestions - but help you with them.
The need for a love interest. It bores me. I'm so over it at this point, unless it's an LGBT couple then I'm slightly interested but really I'm SO over the need for love interests in movies. I think movies are just fine without them.
Over-use of CGI. Practical effects are just so much more pleasing. CGI is an amazing tool and is something that they should use in movies, but they really just use it for everything nowadays.
Like the diarrhea quality wolves in The Day After Tomorrow?
When movies keep making up "new rules" because the writers keep painting themselves into a corner. "According to the ancient scrolls, we're not allowed to do that!", "No, only someone pure of heart can fold the laundry of the dead." Please, you sound like a kid who's making up new rules to a game because he can't handle losing at tag.

Any movie that breaks out in song for hardly any reason, and the song has barely anything to do with anything. Like Frozen, which should be called "Music: The Musical".
New movies that use super outdated humor. The next time I hear "I had beans for breakfast huehuehue" after a fart sound effect I'm gonna make loud "HUR HURR HUR" sounds in the theater and ruins everyone else's good time.
The good guys always win. It's incredibly cliche if you know that no matter what happens, good will always triumph. Granted I enjoy seeing the good guys win, but I'd love a movie that throws in a twist where the main character fails.

And who are you, the proud lord said, that I must bow so low?
Only a cat of a different coat, that's all the truth I know.
In a coat of gold or a coat of red, a lion still has claws,
And mine are long and sharp, my lord, as long and sharp as yours.
And so he spoke, and so he spoke, that lord of Castamere,
But now the rains weep o'er his hall, with no one there to hear.
Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall, and not a soul to hear.

the satisfaction of a story is not in seeing the good guys win, it's seeing how they win.
storymaking is a method that has been developed over millennia. there tends to be a specific structure a story has to follow, otherwise it will suck. people try to go against it now and again, but they usually fail. having the good guys lose isn't particularly satisfying. as cliché as happy endings may seem, they tend to be necessary. you CAN have the good guys lose, but it's hard to pull it off satisfyingly.

Well then you're gonna love The Dark Knight and Se7en.

When people want to make a scene look more action-y than it really is so they spam the hell out of it with all these frantic camera cuts. It doesn't add anything to the scene, it's just annoying.

I hate it when the bad guy is about to kill the good guy, but then he decided to make some elaborate speech on his mighty plan. And then of course the good guy has just enough time to escape....

All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost
The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost
From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring
Renewed shall be the blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king
Movies that use cliche music, for example, Rolling Stone's "Sympathy For The Devil", The Bee Gee's "Stayin' Alive", Electric Light Orchestra's "Don't Bring Me Down", Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody", etc.

Maybe, rather than cliche, those are iconic. If they play the song they know you're going to feel a certain way.

In popular Block Busters movies I guess. But in critically acclaimed movies like No Country for Old Men, or Dead Poets Society, this is not the case.
