All browsers have loads of ads. But I have indeed noticed more ads appearing whenever I use IE. I'm also not sure why people always complain about the slow speed. Newer versions of IE are up to speed with other browsers, such as Firefox, but not as fast as the great almighty Chrome masterrace.
What really disturbs me about IE is the amount of popups. Adblockplus happens to work somewhat effectively, however.

I find that Google Chrome is known as the master race because its mostly used and much more user friendly. I personally find Firefox much faster and reliable then Chrome. If Mozzila were to make it more user friendly, im sure it would take over Google. Also, Mozzila is open source where Google isnt!
Yes I'm looking at you, youtube. Where'd the 1080p go? made me switch over.
That's not Firefox, that's Youtube. The earlier versions of the HTML5 player on Firefox only had support for 360p and 720p. You can change back to the Flash player here, but the HTML5 player on Firefox has the same options as the Flash player now.
I personally do use Chrome. But I have Firefox, IE and Opera if there is any compatibility issues.
But one thing is, Safari is awful. Like MLG awful.
Lol Safari is just as fast as chrome, and works 99% just as well.
Personally the hate for IE is a bit much. I use it in my programming class because for some reason google Chrome runs like absolute crap on their computers. It's not really that bad lol, after Adblock is install it's pretty decent, it's never crashed or been slow or anything for me.
But I still use google chrome, because all my passwords are saved on it, and I use Google services pretty often
I used to use Firefox, it was OK. Then I met Chrome. However, I can't seem to watch YT videos on it. So in EXTREME CIRCUMSTANCES, I make the switch to IE (god help me plz)
Just make sure you don't click on the adobe update stuff and the Free Minecraft stuff.

Yesterday I was on my way to class, when a black cat fell from the sky. I didn't really know what that nonsense was about so I asked him if I could step around him because he was bad luck, but he simply meowed and then disappeared. I was a bit worried that maybe he'd teleported to Afghanistan or somewhere equally dangerous, but a wizard came and assured me that it was alright. I threw my Zune at him because I was 78% sure he was lying. The wizard roared at me and sentenced my mother to thirty five years of chain smoking. I was sad.
All browsers display ads. But IE sucks at blocking popups.
Not all browsers display ads...
It's pretty nice watching YouTube videos without having to see and wait for ads. I almost forget sometimes that YouTube has ads and am kind of surprised when I see people waiting and putting up with them.
Other than that, ads are a bit of a security risk too.
It is kind of annoying though that when I go to Google, I get prompted to make it my search engine even though it already is just because I don't save any cookies on my browser, including Google's. But, I'd rather put up with that than have them track me everywhere as easily.

Actually, after some further investigation, from what I can tell it looks like Chromium is too. I'm also seeing though that it isn't a stable version of the browser, but rather more of a beta version for Windows and Mac which Chrome and some other browsers are built off of.

Bear in mind that that might be due to shenanigans, which I suspect is more likely than not. I'm pretty sure I've heard as much before too.
It kind of reminds me of how Samsung phones would basically overclock and disable throttling when they detected that a benchmark was being run on them.
...
It's really besides the point these days anyway though. All the main browsers are fast enough.
I like Firefox/Iceweasel because they're highly customizable and let me internet the way I want to, much more so than the alternatives.
The bottom line of course though is use whatever you want. But yes, Microsoft is creepy. (But then, so are Google and Apple.)

Are you saying that Apple purposely slows down their Windows versions of their software? If so, I can agree with that, considering iTunes takes ages to load on Windows, at least it used to

Well, I have no evidence offhand of the mentioned shenanigans, but I'm not surprised that software runs better on native proprietary platforms than the alternatives (both alternative software and hardware/OSs). Of course, this may just be due to the software being "optimized" for the native platforms and not for others.

I use Google Crome, but whenever it shorts out ( which I still haven't found out why it does )
I am forced to use the little hellish minefield that Internet Explorer is. I legitimately do not know
how people use it. Virus links everywhere. Constant "free" Minecraft installation and Adobe updates.
Aside from the people with virus protection, does anyone use IE without unintentionally killing their computer?
because it's even more professional looking if you have a swaggy "signature" on your Minecraft Forums posts

I would honestly try and reset/reinstall Chrome
[official google help link]
Also If you can't use IE Use Firefox or something else.
Oh And since you were asking about using IE. I had to use it on a webpage that wouldn't load in FF. It was fine.
Those virus links maybe from adware too BTW.
