I know people are going to hate on me for getting a CPU cooler even though I'm not overclocking, but I just like it being nice and cool. It getting to 73C as soon as I turned on Prime95 small ffts scared me. Now a steady 60C maxed at 64C for 45 mins is better.

What's your temps when running games? My OC'd i5 generally doesn't go past 55-60C

When gaming? On my stock cooler, Titanfall maxed ran at 60-65 peaked at 66 and MC maxed ran at 63C while playing LAN 5 people maxed setting with 120+ mods.
I haven't tried much with my new cooler yet, just put it in last night. Although Minecraft runs at average 45-47C whilst maxed, LAN and mods like before. almost 20C cooler is pretty nice.

Is that a different PSU from your build you asked for help about?
Graphics Card: A very old ATI Radeon card that has no info on it
Power Supply: A Bestec power supply
Case: Dell Poweredge 400sc case
Monitor: Samsung SyncMaster 191t
Other Peripherals: Logitech Wireless Mouse, AULA gaming backlit keyboard, Insignia 2.1 sound system
Operating System: Ubuntu 10.04
Other notes: I barely consider it my own, aside from replacing a few parts. It's horrible too, I know, but I should be getting myself a new (good) computer very soon.

Where/When was that? Could you link it?
I meant to order the normal XFX 550W unit, but for some reason I got the TS unit instead. It's better quality so I was happy.

I thought the normal one was the TS550. Since I ordered the cheapest one i could find, which was the TS550

http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/off-topic/computers-science-technology/2417112-new-build-not-starting-up That's where you were going to order the cheapest. Either way the TS unit isn't bad at all. Just was curious as to if the P1 unit failed and you had to get a TS unit.

Yeah, I guess I just got the TS.
I still recommend the normal 550W unit in like half my builds. From what I can tell it's a great cheaper PSU.

Pigs have their rights too you know!
I don't perform well on Minecraft while recording gameplay. But without recording, I easily get 100-180fps. Not outdated, not high end. True.
