I have a youtube channel. I haven't uploaded much yet, but I made a video using OBS, and it looks super blurry and pixelated. Is there any way to fix this? Or should I get a different recorder? If you want to see the video, my channel is in my signature.
open OBS, go to "file" then to "settings". go to "output" click on "output mode" and change it to "advanced" click "apply" and towards the top you will see your now able to change your bitrate, not sure how that will help but thats how you do it. Ive been trying to get my qual up too but it aint working.

Seeing as OBS actually uses x264 you get a wide variety of ways to increase your 'quality'.
If you're already operating at the bitrate limit of twitch and other stream sites (3500kbps) then you have CRF and the preset to mess with (unless you know enough to tweak the settings the presets set).
Both have the potential to increase visual fidelity at the cost of your CPU.
Decreasing your resolution while keeping your bitrate is also a good way to keep your quality, especially if you stream at a high framerate.
But really, if you're streaming you can't really expect great quality with the bitrate limits that stream sites set. That's why the only good video you ever see is from their partners.

and gj reviving a two year old thread.
I literally changed the 2 in 2,500 bitrates to a 4 and my quality SKYROCKETED up, video and audio, no glitching, perfect youtube live streams.
