Well I am getting a headset or mic tomorrow and I am unsure what the heck to get XD I'm not using Amazon or online buying and stuff. I'm most likely heading into bestbuy and buying what they tell me. Anyways I've googled it a lot and I see a lot of big bulky ear muff headsets. The problem is I hate those a lot and would rather use earphones like the type you listen to music on. My spending limit is $120 So that gives a pretty good variety. My question is, can I get earphones or get an adapter for earphones with a mic, or am i stuck with a bulky headset, or can i just buy a mic stand type of thing and use headphones to listen to my friends I use skype btw if that really matters XD Any suggestions would be much appreciated Thanks.
I guess it depends on what you want the mic for? Is this for gaming or do you want to make some quality recordings. If you just need a simple headset for gaming, you can get them for as low as 35 bucks, with decent quality sound. I can't remember the brand name of my first one, but it was a pretty compact set of headphones, at around 35 CAD.
