Hey, I believe that I'm posting this in the correct place if I'm not I apologise
I have an idea for a game, the language we would be coding in is Java, probably jre6 as most people wouldn't have updated Java.
I know what your thinking Oh god he's just another guy that doesn't know how to code and just has an idea, well you'd be wrong. I'm currently studying software design and development in College and have nearly 2 years of Java Programming Knowledge.
So what or who am I wanting for this project:
Coder(s) - At least 3 or 4 Experienced Java Coders
Textures - 2 or 3 Experienced Textures (Will be asked to provide proof)
Audio - At least 3 Experienced Audio composers and editors.
If you are interested in being apart of this then PM me on here or contact me on Skype!

Thanks for reading this and if you interested thanks for showing interest i will post a link to a file which will contain my ideas and more information on the project.
So the game would be free, made just for fun? That's what i read from 'Not paid'.
And i doubt you'd need that big a group, you could cut down to 2 dev, 2 modelers and 1 sound artist. Although i might be wrong, depends on the game. Buuut the smaller the team, the more manageable it is.
I don't wish to bash you, in the contrary. I just want to point out some stuff that seems weird to me.
I hope you find some peoples for your game.

The game would be free yes, and the game made for fun and to give everyone experience in making a game, but what I meant by Un-paid was that people wouldn't be paid for helping with development of the game. Yes a smaller team would be more manageable but If the game turned out a success like loads of people played it, then maybe either another game would be made or updates to that game upon that point the game maybe become paid! I'm not sure however. And you haven't bashed me at all Sankto I thank you for the feedback and your thoughts on the project.
I'll tell you what I tell everyone who makes these kinds of threads:
1. Make a demo to show you're serious
2. Give the demo to people who are interested
3. If they think the game can go somewhere, they will most likely try to help
The demo can have place holder textures and models, it just needs to show gameplay mechanics. To be quite honest, you'll find it much easier to develop by yourself. Because you won't have to manage people. I know from experience that trying to manage a group is difficult.
I once was part of a team trying to develop a game. We all knew each other, but the project leader was a programmer, not a manager. So in the end, we the team fell apart because the leader couldn't manage.
Just to add to this thread.
According to your profile, you're 16. but yet you claim you're in College. How can that be? If you're just going to a single College class, then you should write it. Just saying, would make you sound more serious and reliable.
Now, to some serious things.
Have you ever made a game before?
Have you ever worked on a larger programming project before?
Have you ever made a larger game before?
Because, if you've never made any larger programming project nor game before, then the last thing you should do is to try and get a group together just to make a game. In game development, experience is everything. When new, everything is hard, and even more so when it comes to games.
It's good to have goals, but remember, when you're new to things, make smaller goals to start with.
And to finish off, here you'll have a few good clip on game development, before you get too carried away
Yes I have made a game before but I never finished it
No I have never worked on a 'Larger' programming project before!
And Again no I haven't made a larger game before I just made the game for experience
I'm in Great Britain so College happens when your 16
