I recently build a new gaming computer like 2 months ago. Really good except recently this past week i have been getting about 10 fps on minecraft and about on every othe game so much lag.
Some specs:
Processor: Intel Core i5-3330 CPU
3.00 GHz
Ram: 8 gb
Memory: 1TB
System type: 64 bit.
My computer i got 6 years ago is getting more fps and less lag yet it's processor is 2ghz intel core duo and only 4gb ram. Any help? Thanks
your probably using intel 4K as a gpu, which isn't the best at minecraft. Also Ghz and RAM does not mean performance.
if anything return that computer and post a topic asking for a parts list at your budget level and build a computer.

I don't see how that is possible for the PC to be so slow, because I used to own a laptop with a Pentium CPU and no graphics card, and it ran Minecraft just fine without Optifine. If you want to look for a graphics card, PC Part Picker is an awesome place. I would recommend a GeForce or AMD, since they are good and affordable, and if you can, get a card with at minimum 2GB.

All i know is the video/graphics card is fine. I used to run games so smoothly then ever since a week ago i have been getting 10 fps instead of 100 - 200 while recording. So i don't know what's going on.
yes yes i know, thus why i said not the best on minecraft. i ran original Intel HD graphics on a Pentium 2120 and got a 64 bit texture pack, normal render, bla bla bla. Thing is, its not the best, and can have a large difference in results. Example, look at all the threads of people having a 680 or something that claim minecraft is unplayable because the game doesn't use their gpu, but instead the integrated graphicss. Performance varries greatly.

Virus? HDD filling up? Defrag in the background? deleted system32?

What is your resolution at when you get those framerates on Intel HD 2000? I have a Phenom II X3 740 and a 6950 and I get anywhere from 50-100 fps with settings on far and fancy. My GPU is running at it's normal clock speeds too when playing Minecraft so it's not like it's underclocking. Minecraft puts my GPU at no more than 20% load at the most and my CPU is around 50-70% load running Minecraft with a Youtube video playing in the background.

Nobody's perfect, so neither is Hannah Montana Linux, but it's pretty great.

They all suck. They just suck differently. Sort of like prostitutes.

Not sure right now. Not at home, once i am i'll get the GPU. But my laptop with NVIDIA GeForce gt 120m gets better fps than it if that says anything.

This is an issue with the user, not the hardware.
