Guys, it's clear he is not listening to reason, so just give him the answer he wants and let him blow his cash on a pointlessly expensive shiny laptop.
oblivious person is oblivious. If they want to throw 1000 bucks out the window, have at it. It's their problem when they can't play games and record at all.
Honestly when do you game on a trackpad, and its all preference anyway. And you don't get what I mean. The reason people want apple is so they can show it off, basically saying look at me I wasted my money on this shiny piece of crap computer.
Man, this thread makes me sick.
I can't believe that some people are so @#&^ing obstinate that they can't just be satisfied with buying their own computer and shutting the hell up, no no no, they have to tell everyone else what to buy, or else they have failed in life.
Why the hell can't you people just let us buy whatever brand of computer that we want? Is it really that hard? Is your sense of self-worth so messed up that you FEEL GOOD about telling people that a brand of computer sucks, just because it's SHINY?!
Good freaking grief.
For some people, Apple products just work. They use a Mac, or an iPhone, and they say, "Man, this thing really works!" Something 'clicks' inside our brains when that happens, and Apple products fill our needs for technology just fine.
Apple products aren't overpriced if you factor in the enjoyment that Apple users get from using their stuff.
Let us buy the products we like, and you can buy the products that you like.

Because in the end we end up having to help them when something fails in their computer. They then call us stupid saying bla bla bla its the best bla bla bla.

I have to say I've seen nothing but PC failures on these forums. The only time I've seen someone complain about their Mac failing was when John the Ripper said his iMac's graphics card stopped working.
I'd just like to point out, even though he obviously wants to game on it, but mac's "extra" things are miles ahead of windows PCs. Their keyboard is arguably the best in the laptop world, and their trackpad is miles ahead of the competition. Yes, it is a waste of money, but the "experience" is better, and on a laptop, for some people, that is all that matters (although....1k does it matter is a different story).

Exactly. The "Apple Tax" is worth it to some people, and not worth it to others. If you look at the specs alone, most of Apple's computers are overpriced. Apple is selling a complete package, people don't seem to realize that for many people, OSX works out better for them than Windows does. Sure, there's a lot of people buying Macs for stupid reasons (to surf facebook or as a status symbol), but I can say the same about Alienware. Objectively, Apple is no better than and no worse than any other computer company.

Do you work for Apple? No? Then you're not the one who has to help them. All help on here is willingly provided by volunteers, you aren't forced to help anybody.

And, to be fair, every single other Apple product in the family has had no major issues. One laptop had the backlight fail within a few days of purchase, but Apple replaced it. The only computer other than the iMac that has seen significant problems was the 2006 MBP, but it saw extremely heavy use and none of the problems encountered were unusually bad (not to mention it was fairly cheap to fix everything that went wrong). The only reason that most of the stuff that failed in that laptop failed was because it was abused to a ridiculous extent (my sister is incapable of being careful with technology, and her abuse ultimately lead to the laptop being retired due to excessive damage).
The iMac was ridiculous though. Overheating issues, malfunctioning motherboard, completely failed graphics card, a terrible design, screen damage from said overheating issues... Inexcusable issues on a $2300 computer that was only a year and a half old, and that had been treated with care. I guess it's a bit ironic that the computer that was the best cared for had the most issues.
Why would you buy an imac over a similarly priced laptop? My friend had one, parts of it over heated and just stopped working when he tried playing Minecraft. He doesn't use mac books anymore, however he does use his desktop one because he likes the retina display. I would just go for a high quality, top of the range laptop for the same price and get the performance and good features. If your using it at school, then you need a good battery also (unless they have plugs on the desks)

your money. I really wanted your youtube channel to grow, but you can't run minecraft and record on max with extra goodies on a mac without the risk of overheating and frying parts. Know this, heat dispersion is very, very, very, very, very important my friend.

Why are we comparing laptops to desktops now?
