Hello, I am currently learning Blender (Maya too complicated) and I'm really confused, so I have a couple questions, please answer!
1. How do I rotate the camera in circles and to like zoom in or move across the scene.
2. When key framing, does it record everything you do? For example, let's say I'm doing a walking animation, and I accidentally make the leg go the wrong way, will it show up when I play it?
3. And if it does..how do I delete a keyframe or will I have to start all over? Thanks.
4. Why can't I use these cylinders inside the wolf?http://imgur.com/tpMMLHc Are they bones?? 5. When using facial rigs, how do I select the ones I want so when I key frame, it moves them all at the same time, but at different decimals, for example the mouth would be 0.447 and the eyes would be 4.0033, when I move them. (To know what I'm talking about, look around 4:22 )
I moved your thread to a place that might have some pros. I haven't used Blender in a while, but I'll offer what help I can:
1. I believe the middle mouse button will rotate your camera around the center (which you can set to focus on different things). The mouse wheel should zoom in and out (this is how I had it set, at least, I'm fairly certain that was the default).
2. You can select the key frame, then select the bone you've moved and reset its position from the popup menu.
3. If it's not selecting the key frame and hitting the "del" key, then I'm not sure.
4. Yes, those look like bones. You can edit them by selecting the WolfArmature.
5. Mmm, yeah, I don't remember this one at all.
Hopefully that was more helpful than misleading. I'm sure you'll eventually find someone more experienced. =)
There are some great tutorials on their website for things such as movement, creation, lighting, animations, and keyframes, plus more basic stuff. You may want to check it out.
1) Use the keypad to manage views.
Num 0 - Active Camera View
Ctrl-Num 0 - Set Active Camera
Num 1 - Front View
Ctrl-Num 1 - Back View
Num 3 - Right View
Num 7 - Top View
You kind of get the idea. When using ctrl in combination it gives the opposite view of the associated view. The even numbered keys rotates the view.
2) Generally I use the shortcut 'i' to insert keyframes and you can choose between loc, rot, scale, or all of them.
3) I believe you can delete it by checking the DopeSheet. You can switch to the DopeSheet by clicking on the drop-down list which controls windows.
