Hey everyone, i just upgraded my computer to its box package graphics card, after getting the right adapter for my monitor. Everything looks sleek and HD. But, i'd just like to ask: Would there be new drivers for it? And where could i download these drivers?
I am on a Linux 64bit system, and am using an ATI Radeon card. Is there any way to find out what model of card I'm using, and how would i download them?
Thanks in advance for any help i may get.

I always thought Nvidia was usually worse. Nvidia was the one that got flipped off by Linus, at least.

i5 4670k @ 4.9GHz - Stock Heatsink - The rest is melted silicon but I think I have a graphics card in there somewhere It surprises me how many people on this forum can't read benchmarks.
Could we please stay on topic? I would like to know where to find out what series of ATI Radeon HD card i have. There are no control panels,(due to the nature of linux) Instead i have to do it through the console.

Well it would be easier if you actually told us which distribution of Linux you're using. And since when does using Linux mean there's no control panels? I've used Fedora, Mint, and Ubuntu and they all had control panels.

Nobody's perfect, so neither is Hannah Montana Linux, but it's pretty great.

They all suck. They just suck differently. Sort of like prostitutes.

What do you mean there are no control panels due to linux?
Every distro I have ever looked at, including damn small linux (which is 50MB) and even the bulky ones like Fedora have all had control panels where you can see device IDs.
Just look at the properties of the device, find "device ID" and google it.

I have already checked their website, and, as i said, i do not know what model of card i am using. Is there any way to find out on linux?

AMD's drivers are open source somewhat, Nvidias are not. Nvidias seem to have more issues than AMD's.
No, i don't think it has a linux rpm/tar.gz.
EDIT: just checked, and as far as i can see, nope.

They may be, there are just no good drivers. All of them have terrible performance. At least that how it used to be.

Like so:
EDIT: Ok, after extensive looking and loading, i finally found the model.
Here it is: HD Radeon 2400 XT. I am not sure whether this is the right one, but i guess i'll find out.
