Hello, I'm a first time PC builder, I do have some experience when building PCs. but this is my first time do it by myself. I've looked for some computer parts around Amazon, I'm on a budget and not looking for a computer that can max out everything. These are the parts :
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
DVD drive :Sony AD-7280S-0B 24x SATA Internal DVD+/-RW Drive (Black)
Case:NZXT Guardian Black SECC Steel Chassis ATX Mid Tower Case 921RB-I
I;m not sure If all the parts are compatibale with each other and what type of performance can I expect on this computer? Can it play games like GTA IV, Battlefield 3 , Minecraft on Medium-High settings smoothly? Thanks
I know that, but then again 7770 is a mile behind 6870. Hell, it's a lot worse than 6850 which you can get with the same price.
It's only somewhat worse than the 6850, and considering the 6850 is a power hog in comparison and costs nearly 20-30 dollars more (I mean sure, you can find it for the same if you look really hard, but it's not worth it), it's more or less irrelevant.
7770 is close to 6790 in performance, but not near 6850. As overclocked it will beat the stock 6850, but then again 6850's overclock pretty much as well.
And who actually cares a s... about power consumption? At least on these low-mid range cards? They all consume so low amount of power that it won't matter. Even the 6850.

Video Card :Gigabyte AMD Radeon HD 7750 2GB DDR3 2x DVI-D/HDMI/D-SUB PCI-Express 3.0 Graphics Card GV-R775OC-2GI
Powersupply :Cooler Master Elite 460W ATX +12V V2.31 SATA, PCI-E Power Supply RS460-PSARI3-US

and my video card with a SAPPHIRE AMD Radeon HD 6870 1GB GDDR5 PCIE
I'm not to sure about my powersupply though, anyways how will this run games like the ones listed?
Because the 6870 is so absurdly expensive for what it does.
I'd suggest a 7770 or 7850 because they're the price range where it falls. Obviously the 7770 isn't as powerful, but it's a reasonable amount cheaper.

I wouldn't say the 7770 is a lot worse than the 6850. They are close in performance, but the 7770 comes forward in low power consumption.
Thinking about coming a mod to simply not moderate.
You call this a huge difference?

Boom, all the reviews. Keep in mind that this was when they were first released. Driver updates have improved performance as well.
