While you call that a budget, I call that "I have enough money to build the best gaming rig on the market right now." I know that you can easily go over $2200, but honestly that's enough money to build a computer that can play every game out right now at max settings. I could buy a $2200 PC, but I actually want to use it some before summer is over.
why does he need that much power...a single 6970 is more than capable at running most games at max/very high settings...unless i am wrong?
Yes, but it keeps him from having to make upgrades in the future. I once met a guy with a 6K budget, oh the fun watching that build develop :biggrin.gif:. It had a i7 2600K with a Z68, a agility 3 SSD, 16 GB of ram and duel GTX 570's.

I want to see what other people come up with. I have some ideas, but its not like its a $1000 build. It's double.
He says he wants intel 2nd gen.
Here is my go;
Its could most likely be toned down a bit but this is pretty beastly.
If you REALLY want to stick with EVGA then go with two of these: Link

Thinking about coming a mod to simply not moderate.
Well, he wants an expensive build, his choice...
