Ok where do I start? Until recently I have been able to run any modded minecraft...with little to no problems. But now it seems that every time I try to play I get a Blue Screen and my computer restarts. My drivers are fully updated, cant find any problems with ram, cpu or hard drive. What makes it really strange is that every time is a different reason on the blue screen. Can someone please help? Remember about a month ago I didnt have this issue so it shouldnt be spec related but here they are anyway.
CPU: Intel core 2 Duo @ 3Gh
Ram: 8 gigs (used to have 5 gigs dedicated to MC and no issues like this)
Any chance you can post some of the different reasons shown on BSOD ??.
They may have different reasons showing but they may have a common root cause
- I had random BSOD (with different 0x000 numbers) years ago that only seemed to occur on a particular game, just when I did a particular action in-game & only seemed to happen if I'd had been playing for a fairly long period of time.
Thought it was an overheating issue but it actually turned out to be a Memory card was playing up (at the time I had 4 memory modules occupying all the slots on the motherboard) - once I removed it, everything worked fine
if you are getting a BSOD like that thats not a minecraft issue, but at a guess a RAM issue thats triggering when minecraft starts to use a bad RAM location, run a few memtest scans on each RAM stick to make sure they don't have issues.
thread moved to computer support as this is a computer issue
