I have two hard-drives on my computer, one with the operating system etc. and one for all my stuff and to back up my Minecraft worlds, anyway, the second hard-drive is from my old computer and is full, the hard-drive is 283 GB and I have 73 GBs of stuff on it. the rest of the space it taken up with heavily protected system files from when the hard-drive was in my old computer, the computer won't let me delete any of these files and even when I tried copying my stuff onto my main hard-drive and formatting the drive it still denies permission, how can I get said permission? i have a program called CCleaner but it tells me the hard-drive it solid state (which I'm 90% sure it isn't) and say it would therefore be very bad for the hard-drive. In case this helps, I think the hard-drive is a SAMSUNG HE160HJ.
You didn't specify OS, but I'll assume Windows since you referenced CCleaner. What do you mean, it denied permission when formatting? Are you not logged in with an administrative user account? I've never had an issue with permissions interfering with formatting. What was the exact verbiage of the error?
