Hello! I have been playing Minecraft for a while. I bought a gaming PC about a year or two ago, and I have to admit I did a pretty crappy job picking out parts. My PC cannot handle many games well unless settings are low. While playing Minecraft, I have to put my render distance to around 4, with all other settings on minimum to get around 80-100 fps. Even so does my FPS spike in the 50s. Here's my specs:
- AMD FX 4300 Quad Core CPU
- 16 GB of RAM
- Gigabyte Motherboard (970A-DS3P)
- Dual monitors, (one is 1920x1080 and the other is 1360x768, both @60Hz)
- 1023MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 (MSI) GFX Card
- 500W Power Supply
- Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit
I know my components are unbalanced and out of whack. I would like reccommendations on what I need to improve in order to achieve maximum FPS while spending the least amount of money. I don't want to have to deal with FPS problems any longer. (Preferably I want to be able to run Shaders while still maintaining high FPS)
I'm not too familiar with that graphics, card. But a new processor would seems so good right now. 4300 is so horrible, and outdated. I'm gonna say a 6350 can replace it nicely, sort of in date, and can do things any processor can I'm guessing it's compatible with your motherboard since it uses AM3+
