I have downloaded and are using all fancy toolbars and Icon Libraries on MPC-HC so that should be OK right?
Well today I was on Reddit/r/Software and I saw this topic
The top comment mentioned using LAV and MadVR. So I would like to know should I use it and a definitive guide on installing it (Other guides require installing all this other stuff)
I also heard that MadVR won't play nicely with a x64 copy of MPC-HC but that was from 2011, MPC-HC has improved hugely since then.
Finally, What else should I do?

The easiest method to do is just use KCP, which is MPC-HC, LAV Filters, madVR, xy-VSFilter and if you want ReClock. Which is all you'll ever need.
The Coalgirls guide, unless they've actually updated it at some point, has been out of date for a few years.

Thanks, Now I have installed it with everything except ReClock and things are working great.
Any settings that I need to set to make it better?
If you used KCP you already set it up with presets, otherwise
Also, if you have a good computer, disabling all the 'trade quality for performance' in madVR is a thing to do
And, if you like how it looks, enabling their smooth motion is something to try.

Alternatively, you can just do a manual install yourself.

Allows you to keep yourself updated.
MPC-HC and MPC-BE both come with LAV Filters by default, so if you don't have them update.
madVR is only a 32bit, and as such wont work with your 64bit client. I hear it does with MPC-BE, but haven't tried.
