I'm currently building a gaming machine for playing games like Doom and The Witcher, and my current setup is:
1: It seems like the video card I chose is not manufactured anymore, any good recommendations on the same level? (preferably R9 290 but definitely not a need)
2: Any incompatibilities with those? The site says I might need to update the BIOS due to the Vishera processor, if that is indeed needed is it too hard to update the BIOS?
3: Overall, am I missing anything? This build can run high-end games at high settings with good FPS? Anything I should change?
Thanks for reading, I'm open for suggestions as long as you don't suggest anything too expensive like a Xeon or stuff, comment as you wish ^^
This build in general is very outdated. The CPU is 4 years old, and the GPU is 3 years old. The current "equivilent" to the R9 290 is the much newer RX480.

Stick with a modern Intel i5 + RX 480 build
even though it's an old CPU, will I have any problem with it in case I can't find a good price on the i5 where I live?
btw you're right, the RX 480 looks better for this so it's a good point to start the changes

It's just slow compared to modern i5s. Heck, even the i3-6100 outperforms it while having 1/4 of the cores and 1/2 of the threads. Not to mention it's on a dead platform so you'd have to replace the motherboard, ram, and CPU if you ever wanted to upgrade.

Oh damn... Well at least that's on the table now, thanks for the advice

Possibly you can go with R9 380X? The closest alter I can find. I know nothing about computers so ask me if it doesn't meet your requirements
EDIT: I searched the best alternative for the card listed, so it is probably the best alter!
Ahh good to know, I'll look for a R9 380X in case I can't find the one I listed (which i probably won't find anyway, so double thanks :v)

Anytime
The fx 8350 is a 4 year old cpu. I suggest replacing it with something else.
