I would like to have some reviews on my computer build below. Please
fill in for the unknown spots if you have a part that would fit with
the rest of the list. The estimated prices are used as a max budget for
that part but I can go a little over if needed.
OCing? If yes, get a better cooler. There's also no point getting a 1080 if you're not going 4K or 1440p 144Hz. 1440p at 60hz is borderline (maxing out everything in every game), but for 1080p it's straight up mass overkill.
$150 for a decent Z170 board is about right, there's a couple of good choices in that price range. You're also missing a keyboard if you don't already have one.
I do not plan on overclocking but i am trying to figure out which monitor i can get for the lowest price possible but is still considered high quality and has 1440p and 144hz with a good selection of ports and is either 24" or 27". Also, if 4k will be useful then include that too. Can you give me some options?

If you don't plan on overclocking, you don't need a K series CPU and you won't need to drop $150 on a motherboard either.
Monitor wise, i'd look at getting this or this (27", IPS, 1440p, 60Hz) with a GTX 1070, or shell out more for a non-IPS 144Hz display like this and a GTX 1080 to drive it. For a top of the line 27", IPS, 1440p, 144Hz display, this is the cheapest option (with G-Sync) & i'm guessing it's well out of your budget.
4K is so-so. If you're doing a lot of media work (Photoshop, Lightroom, 3D modelling, video editing or the like, 4K may be a good option. For gaming it comes down to preference. Some people think it's overkill, some people like it, i'd suggest watching some Youtube videos on the subject and form your own opinion.

I somewhat disagree. While a 1080 is pretty overkill right now, in 2 years it really won't be. I have no clue how long OP wants this computer to last, but if he's thinking about keeping the system for 3-4 years or more, going overkill isn't such a bad idea.
