Hello everyone! I am EliteMiner, a small YouTuber who just bought a new PC! Well... Everything is awesome except for the graphics. I am currently using an integrated graphics chip, an Intel HD Graphics 530. Integrated graphics chip means that it is built in to the computer. Well, apparently this is the worst graphics I ever had in my whole life, even my crappy old Laptop used to perform better with this.
The main problem about the bad graphics as a YouTuber, and I bought a new PC for recording. But, WHEN I TRY RECORDING, 240 FPS DROPS DOWN TO 12 FPS, AND IT IS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SO I AM CURRENTLY DEAD FOR A FEW MONTHS ON YOUTUBE. I try changing my recording software (Fraps to DxTory), but still didn't work. Recording was absolutely horrible. So I am really stressed out about this, and a few weeks later, I found out the problem was the graphics. I looked inside the computer, and there is a slot for a graphics card, so it is possible for me to install a new card.
THE REAL QUESTION IS, I want to know if you guys could recommend me a great graphics card under $100, which I can record on, and stream on with little or none lag. Thank you!
If you're only getting massive frame drops during recording, that's indicative of an IO issue with your hard drive, not with your graphics.
Do you have a dedicated hard drive for recording to? If not, you should probably get one: recording to your OS drive really isn't the best idea.
The HD530 isn't great, but it's not horrible either. I suspect you saw some older articles or posts saying Intel HD graphics were terrible, but as of now Intel's actually been stepping up their game in terms of graphics and the HD 530 should be able to record Minecraft (at lower settings, mind you) without a problem.
