My 8yr old has been let down on his birthday and last Christmas due to my lack of mod ect knowledge. We got a kindle, Crome book another laptop but none can run what he would like to do. His Santa outline.
a gaming computer compatible with mine craft mods ,servers, texture packs skins and video he wants to record. Is there a pre build computer that can do this if not I'll try my best to follow previous treads. Any help would be great I have no computer skills. Thanking you (no budget I'd say it will be our last year with Santa 🤔
I'd personally recommend you build one, but since that isn't an option I'd say buy an Alienware. My friend has one and he'd get 1,000+ FPS on the highest settings. I've never actually used one though, so don't take my word for it.
Alright, for recording (and that would also come down to streaming in some cases), you will need a system that can keep up with those demands. I've done some dabbling with Recording/Streaming as well as I have been in the Minecraft Community for years. (Not Originating Just on the MC Forums)
What you are looking for is something that is relative to the average paycheck, that can do things such as recording, streaming, and playing games at a good frame rate while doing so.
First, its gaming so a Windows 7 OS is preferred. (Much easier to use.)
You will need enough RAM to play said packs, while using the computer to run the software for recording as well. 8-16 GB RAM preferred. (Min.)
You will also need enough processing power to keep up with everything that is going on. (3+ GHz)
There is a link to amazon, showing a budget desktop computer. That will be able to do those things, as well as it is easy to upgrade in the future, if need arise.

If I have helped you, Up-Rank(Thank) my answer so that others may know which is correct.

Alienwares are completely overpriced junk (well most of them). Also there are literally hundreds of different models. A bottom of the line alienware is NOT going to get 1000+ FPS.
I have a Lenovo laptop with an i7 and AMD graphics card, it runs MC with 60 FPS even with shaders and a 512x texture pack which is pretty demanding so that works. As long as it has an i5 or i7 and Nvidia or AMD graphics it should most likely be good. Make sure to look at the specs before you buy a computer, look for other ones before you buy it and also compare them to see which ones are better.
Not all AMD/Intel graphics are good. You can't exactly generalize PC specs like this.

First of all, Windows 7 is outdated, and in no way is it easier to use or better for gaming. Windows 10 is actually slightly faster for gaming, and it is much newer.
Second of all, most modpacks don't use more than 4gb of ram. 8gb of ram is more than enough
Third of all, GHz isn't a measurement of CPU performance. Different CPUs have different architectures, and just comparing the clock speed is completely pointless.
The computer you posted is seriously a piece of crap. An outdated slow FX CPU + a weak Nvidia GT 720, for $670??? Also it's not even worth upgrading it. If you want a better GPU, your PSU and CPU will bottleneck it. You can't get a decent CPU in that PC since the AM3+ architecture is basically dead. And you can't upgrade the ram since the motherboard is literal junk.
If you know what this means, it comes with 8g of RAM and a i5 processor
Hope this helps!
It's not going to run Minecraft well on Intel graphics, at least is has a decent CPU unlike the CyberTrash above me...
Anyways to OP, what is your budget? There are plenty of good prebuilts for the money out there, you just have to know what is a good deal and what isn't. I can help you find a GOOD Pc, all I need is a budget.

Thank you all so much wish me luck x
Staples online has a very nice computer that can run minecraft with 90 fps, record video, and handle all skins and texture packs. heres a link to it.

Holy crap the amount of misinformation on this thread is actually scary. OP please don't listen to these people...
