Hello guys! It is GlitchyDino here, and I would like some people to suggest a PC part picker list of a build I'm currently thinking about. My budget range would be around $1100 and Black Friday and Cyber Monday are coming up! I will be building the PC. A good CPU would also be needed, as I will be rendering and editing videos, though the GPU would be the most important, as I'll mostly be playing MINECRAFT, heavily modded with no optifine. Also, if I could play CS:GO at 144 FPS that would be nice too. I am thinking about a Windows 10 operating system, and a build which can be upgradable in the future, to add new items, such as a water cooler or new graphics card. The build will also need to be able to overclock, as I will be over locking whichever CPU I get to at least 3.9 Ghz. An unlocked overclockable CPU would be the best. I will constantly be recording, and will need to make sure my frames almost never drop below 144 FPS (Monitor refresh rate) in any situations. Thank you for your help! I am thinking about getting this build at Black Friday or Cyber Monday!
Hello! Thank you so much for the reply. I have one problem with this build though, I want a Nvidia Graphics Card because I will be using shadow play. Though I can deal with it if the performance is better than a Nvidia card. Also, what is equivalent to a R9 390 in Nvidia Cards? I would really like a Nvidia card honestly.

AMD has a shadowplay variant called PlaysTV now.

Are you sure? I've heard that the AMD cards are terrible for Minecraft.
I really do want the more powerful cards, but they must be better than their counterparts for games like Minecraft, CS:GO, GTA V, etc.
The R9 390 is slightly powerful in terms of performance in tests, but only slightly. Both the R9 390 and GTX 970 will run all those games at Ultra 60FPS easily.
There's a lot of nVidia circlejerk going around on this forum and it's kinda annoying.

Well Minecraft and CSGO will both easily get 144 fps maxed out on much worse hardware, so the whole R9 390 vs GTX 970 is irrelevant for those 2 games.
GTA 5 will run slightly better than the GTX 970, but both will get 60 fps on Ultra settings.
If you want to go with the GTX 970, then go for it. I honestly prefer Nvidia, as I haven't have the best experience with AMD cards, but meh.
Thank you. I will go for the GTX 970 then. Also, could you possibility change the RAM to 16 GB? I will be using lots of photoeditting and rendering software. To add, I will be able to upgrade the GTX 970 to a GTX 980 Ti or higher in the future if I need to, right? It will not bottleneck?

You will never use the 980 Ti's power, actually you might, like 50 years in the future, but I wouldn't even think about getting one for a long time. Right now it's more for bragging rights, if anything imo.

Just buy 2 8gb sticks if you want 16gb.
And yes, you can upgrade to a GTX 980 Ti in the future
EDIT: Can You change the Cooler to a Corsair H100i?
Is there a specific reason you want a h100i? While it's an amazing cooler it's also very expensive. The Noctua can easily fulfill your cooling needs. There are also cheaper variants around like the H60.

While I wouldn't generalize all CLCs as being terrible like we once did, especially with the recent influx of expandable CLCs with custom loop parts, the H100i harks from the era when all CLCs were still overpriced and unreliable and barely made any difference (if at all) over a high-end air cooler. If you want water cooling, don't get it just for the sake of water cooling; get one of the aforementioned expandable CLCs so that you can get water cooling's real benefits.
Swiftech sells the H140X and the H240X (though the latter seems to be out of stock everywhere), and if you have a higher budget EKWB sells the Predator 240 and 360 which I would expect both better performance and easier expandability out of.
If you don't actually need the benefits of water cooling, any high-end air cooler will suit you just fine. The Noctua NH-D14 already recommended will comfortably bring you a nice overclock that you'd only likely beat by expanding an expandable CLC with a few more rads. If you don't want to overclock, even the NH-D14 may be too much.
You're not serious, are you? Even 5 years in the future the 980 Ti will likely have been pushed so low down in Nvidia's product lineup it will have been forgotten. Technology moves fast, and unless a card can achieve legendary status such as the 8800GT, it will no longer be relevant in just a matter of 1-2 years, maybe 3 at the most.
Think about it. How many GTX 580s do you see people still recommending? What about even 680s? The GTX 580 is 5 years old, and the GTX 680 is just 3 years old.
Besides that, there are very legitimate reasons for buying a high-end card such as the 980 Ti, or even multiple. Gaming over multiple high-resolution monitors is becoming more popular. What's more, even if OP doesn't do that, he mentioned he would be using photo editing and rendering software, and for all we know the programs he is using could benefit from CUDA.
Can you make a part list of what I said above? I do not know how to set up part lists.
This is the parts list that Alexx originally gave you. Open it, and click "Edit parts list" at the upper right. The parts list will become editable, and from there it's rather self-explanatory.
Besides, I wouldn't change anything anyways, except maybe the GPU to a GTX 970. As I said, you should only go with water cooling if you're absolutely sure you need the specific benefits of it, and definitely not just because you think it's cool or better in general than air cooling. If I were you I'd stick with the NH-D14.
If you really need a new parts list and can't make one yourself, here's Alexx's build with 16GB of RAM and a GTX 970. I'm leaving out water cooling for now for reasons mentioned above. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/6k6Zpg
I just want the water cooling because I do not need to apply thermal paste.
Who told you that? You most definitely still need to apply thermal paste between the CPU heat spreader and the water block.
Besides, applying thermal paste is easy. Even if somehow water cooling negated the need for thermal paste, spending twice or more on the cooler for that tiny added convenience is a terrible tradeoff.
I've heard that people said the H100i does not need thermal paste.
They could be referring to the fact that by some accounts the H100i has a patch of thermal paste already applied, similar to what happens to Intel's stock coolers. Honestly, though, I'm sure that if you were fine with spending $60 more to avoid applying thermal paste any random person off the street would be more than happy to apply it for you to earn that $60.
In all seriousness, I cannot tell you enough how much of a bad idea getting an H100i for that preapplied thermal paste is. Applying thermal paste is literally just dabbing a drop onto the CPU then installing the cooler; you don't even need to spread it. Besides, the H100i thermal paste isn't exactly good and may be applied imperfectly, not to mention that it only lasts once meaning you have to install it perfectly the first time and never take it off throughout the computer's entire life. (Nothing bad happens, but as soon as you lift it off you'll have to manually reapply thermal paste the next time you put it back on.)
I've heard that the water cooler is better for over locking, as water can cool CPUs way faster, and doesn't really need a exhaust fan, or maybe....

You really need to do more research. First off, overclocking isn't as easy as it sounds. 1 little mistake can potentially fry your CPU, and it's pretty obvious you have no idea what you're talking about, no offence.
All coolers have exhaust fans. And low end liquid coolers aren't really any better than high end Air coolers, and plus you don't have the risk of leaking and ruining your whole PC.
