well it depends if you want a laptop or desktop first off, If its a desktop you can get away with an i5 and a decent graphics card, however if you want a laptop you are going to have to go a little out of your price range, I use a gigabyte p25 laptop which costs about $1100 and I can run shaders and optifine just fine

Don't listen to the people on this thread. "an i5 and a dedicated graphics card" doesn't mean anything as far as performance goes. If you tell OP to get that he can just go and get an i5 650 and a GT610, which won't run anything well.
OP, is your budget in US dollars? Canadian? Austrailian? It's impossible to suggest a computer without knowing what currency your budget is in.

This computer is the best computer I could find for the price. All the computers which cost closer to $1000 weren't much better, definitely not worth the extra $250. If you're ok with getting an open box computer, you can save around $100 with this computer.

The first one actually looks decent for a pre built. Probably a terrible mobo+PSU but overall, for a pre built, not bad at all.

If you are going with that one, I would quite honestly suggest going with the first one innbbn's post, it has great specs, much better than the asus one you are looking at and it is about the same price

Unlike everyone else, im going to give you an entire set of builds from which you can choose which fits you best. Im assuming you wish to build your own, so these will all be pcpartpicker links. Some of these builds do not include os because I wanted to leave that option open to you, Also these builds do not include a monitor, keyboard, or mouse because obviously this is your choice. I decided to stop at 400$ because thats roughly the price of a console and once you get below 400$ its almost impossible to get good fps with medium to low settings. Cheers!

also keep in mind that when I have the parts I don't know how to put it together, so can I just go to bestbuy and have a tech guy do it.
P.s If you wanna see the question on PlanetMineCraft then here-
Ok so I'm getting a gaming computer soon and I want to be able to play Minecraft with OptiFine and shaders on a good fps.
Also I wanna be able to render videos too, so it would be nice if someone could link some parts.
Budget- hmm it's tight so maybe 0-1000$

Are you willing to build?
And is all you're going to be doing is rendering some videos and playing MC? No AAA titles or anything?

That's absolutely terrible for the price.
If you have to get a pre built, get the one nbbn suggested.

Ok so you guys can get that same thing pre built for a cheaper price?
Remember I'm just looking to do 5 things.
1.Run Minecraft
2.Run Minecraft with Shaders
3.Run Minecraft with OptiFine
4.Record while running Minecraft
5. Render after done playing Minecraft
Now if you guys can find a better computer that can do that for a low price, then please post it
Like I said, if you can't build one then get the one nbbn suggested. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883230007

idk it would be good to get that i'll see in the mean time do you have anything cheaper
Cheapest I'd really go with, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883230025
Even that won't be able to record with high end shaders @60 FPS maxed.
