For video editing go with FX-6300 because it is hexa core and rendering enjoy extra cores. GPU like R7 250 will be enough. Go with Western Digital Blue 1TB because they are fast and reliable. Be sure to use 80+ Certified PSU and no some no-name that came with case. If you use your computer for long get a better AM3 MOBO for about 100$ with USB 3, SATA 6Gb/s but if you dont use for long (4-5 hours a day) 70 bucks for MOBO will be enough. Surely go with 8GB of RAM at 1866MHz and if you start to do a lot of video editing upgrade to 16GB

"tiny bit of video editing"
R7 250 is pretty bad, but if the OP is mostly only playing vanilla MC and it doesn't need full render distance, it should be "alright".
I agree. WD Blue are really nice, but actually the OP may only need 500 GB.
It doesn't HAVE to be 80+ certified. And just saying don't use any no name brands is kinds broad. I mean XFX doesn't sound like a huge brand but I'd recommend them anyday.
Why would the Motherboard have to be 100$+ if you use your PC a lot? There are some great board under 80$.
In a budget like this, I don't see much need for 8 GB 1866MHz RAM. More like 4 GB, or 8 GB if you can fit it, 1600MHz.

I agree with all your complaints but for the last one. I tried video editing with 4GB and 8GB and there are big differences in rendering times. He can go with 1600MHz but 1866MHz will be better.

Yeah, I kinda take back the 4 GB. I would probably go with 8 GB even with this budget.
1866MHz will perform a bit better, but it's not worth it unless the prices are close.

You choose OS. Both 7 and 8 have its pros and cons and it is basically you determining do you want to stay on 7 or change things a little and go with 8. I would use my old OS and wait for 10 because it will be only Windows to support DirectX 12 which will be gaming revolution.
Need a new computer, $400-$450, try to keep low as possible.
What I need included in the build:
OS, windows 7 or windows 8, doesn't matter. I've never tried windows 8 so I think it would be cool to try something new out.
Optical drive,
Wifi adapter.
Keyboard / mouse.
What I will use it for:
Minecraft,
CS:GO.
A little bit of arma.
Maybe a tiny bit of video editing / recording.
Budget:
$400-$450 can go to $500 if really needed.
Country:
United States, so USD currency please.

Are you overclocking? In this case it would actually help as an overclocked Pentium is great for a dual core.

Is overclocking easy? Im really nooby to this stuff, if it was easy to do I would overclock.
Ehh, It's easy but I wouldn't suggest it to someone who doesn't do much with it. It's not very hard to hurt some of your components.

There was a computer dating back to Adam and Eve. An apple, and a very bad one at that, it only took 1 byte to crash everything.
