Isn't just Verizon DSL/ADSL that is bad..
DSL/ADSL/ADSL2/etc is all inherently bad. No matter the carrier. We shouldn't be using century-old tech in this day/age, and yet Telstra here in Australia have recently been laying *new* copper in brand new subdivisions, where they could be putting in fibre for either the same or similar cost.

apparently here in the lower mainland of BC canada we're damn near at capacity of our fibre optic lines already. this is what happens when you cram a bunch of people into a crap load of condos and town homes where single family houses used to be, and why an "average" single detached house is sitting around the 1.5Mil mark for prices.
those of you wondering why i don't have an active RP (so far none). i try. but whenever i get to the rules section of it my computer restarts. computer: i realise what your telling me and i give up.
Quite pathetic when it comes to gaming, but it doesn't seem too bad for home desktops..EDIT: Nope, it's quite abysmal...

Eh. Paying for 50mb/s but my connection is limited physically. Fibre optic cable is still weak when your miles away from your green box.
