50/10 Mbps Comcast plan. Usually get about 60 down and 12 up. Never experience loss in speed during peak hours. Solid provider, not so solid customer service..
Downloaded a game on Steam the other day. Now that I'm back at school, I have access to gigabit internet. Wondered why it wasn't downloading as fast as it should.
Realized my hard drive couldn't write fast enough. I was sad again.

Yeah, it's slow. But whatever, I'm used to it. It's really not that slow, it only gets annoying when I'm downloading large files, or uploading videos to YouTube. And it's perfectly fine for stuff like YouTube and online gaming (though it doesn't really like doing both of those at once...).

Not too long ago I was supposed to be getting 20 up/20 down. Just rewired the house and wasn't informed of the speed boost, but who am I to complain?

Keep in mind I was also downloading Witcher 3 while the test was being taken .
It is usually around 2.50 mbps and 1.32 mbps. That is a decent Down/Up speed for me.
Check out this mod, which now has a 1.8 brother to the 1.7 version.
Please, slap your internet into my face and rub it around, therefore embedding me with spicy internet juices, kind of like a steak.

Nope. Hard drive seemed to have a general write speed a little north of 50 MB/s. Interwebs was faster.

Hmmmmm.
Well my dad gets angry whenever I bring up the speed of our internet so I don't see us getting anything better anytime soon.
It's actually twice as fast as it used to be and we have no idea why.

And then there's the Puffin browser for iOS.
Since it acts as a proxy, you can get some really fun speeds.

Something that might improve it a little bit, is switching from wifi to ethernet if you are using wifi connection.
My wifi:
Sometimes I stream here
I speedrun Super Mario 64

Pretty sure this desktop computer I'm using isn't hooked up to the wifi.
