Well well, since i posted (check back at 1st or 2nd page i think), i happened to have gotten myself a new computer to replace my 9 years old one :biggrin.gif:

Sankto..... Using onboard graphics, that's even worse, shame on you!
Money doesn't grows on trees, you know :sad.gif:
Plus i've been able to play all games i've thrown at it at max setting or so, therefore i don't see any problem.

@Fossil. Why have such a good CPU, with such a **** graphics card??!
I don't know, I mean the computer is entirely stock and was literally the most expensive pc monitor bundle in the shop priced at a ridiculous £1,2##; I have no idea what my pc is even designed for, it's not amazing at gaming because of the graphics card and the CPU is odd in that it's the runt of the i7 litter and for some reason it has 8 gigs of DDR3 for seemingly no purpose :/
I mean I guess it may be the kind of pc a video editor would use because of the 1.3something TB hard-drive, but I want it to be a gaming machine *anger*
Can anyone suggest any reasonably priced upgrades that could transform my rig into something more practical?
Pick yourself up a GTX260 or later :smile.gif:, or go for a GTX460, they're costing about $200 AUS at the moment. That'll fix it up right good :smile.gif:
I win the bad competition hands down:
Gateway laptop
446MB of ram
I've never seen worse.

i understand how scissors can beat paper, and how a rock can beat scissors, but there's no way paper can beat rock. Is paper supposed to magically wrap around rock and leave it immobile? Why can't paper do this to scissors?
my graphics card can already tell my computer sucks balls
Nvidia GeForce 6200
I could be running a Voodoo2 in my computer if i wanted too. That doesn't mean the rest of my computer sucks.
Although, with yours, i do understand :smile.gif:

That's odd. The last time i checked, that motherboard could only take 1333Mhz DDR3, and won't boot, with anything faster installed.
