As the title says. Merely as a test to get an LCD working, along with it being partially a potential prank or movie prop, I wasted 5 hours doing this wiring.
and also part spent writing this silly piece of code
All just to do a silly prank. I will upload a video of what it does, as soon as I can find a camera that can decently record the LCD.
It is a prank that shows a hacker doing hackish things on a computer terminal then planting a DDoS virus. I make it look real-ish by making the commands appear 1 letter at a time with a 175 millisecond delay in between each letter. This gives the illusion that someone is typing the commands in. As I said, while it is cool, 5 hours?

Why did it take 5 hours?
In any case, where do you plan on installing the LCD? Very few people that know what DELTREE or DDoS is would be scared of a standalone LCD displaying it. Others would just snort at it or be confused.
Not to say that I don't approve of you tinkering.
It's more of a movie prop than anything else. I found a phone that can somewhat properly record it, and I have a video, but I have no way to get it to my computer. The 5 hours is mostly that it takes about a minute to play through, and I was constantly testing it. It was also more from initial prototype to end and I took breaks in between. I also had no initial set goal in mind for this.
P.S. Wouldn't instill much more fear in people that know nothing about computers watching a movie and they see a young hacker entering that to take down the NSA?
Get the video out soon! It would be interesting! But more importantly we have matching keyboards!
Microsoft wireless 2000? Wow. I just need to find a microusb/usb adapter to get the video. Or I could get bluetooth working, but it is being incooperative.
EDIT: re-recorded on a... more cooperative... device.

That looks really cool, However hacking is mainly done from normal computers.

Maybe you could just use another computer with a Linux distro in it, then make a fake program that spews out random numbers and stuff in the terminal as a prop, then maybe connect it to the computer using a male-male USB cable.
Some people wouldn't exactly get what you're supposed to show with that Arduino set-up.

However the code is modular

Never gonna give you uuuuuup
Whaaaat, can't I enjoy a good and catchy song just because it's popular?
