None of my devices can use it for they are GB and one is Froyo.
No use in getting newer phone/tablet, much less cannot afford to.
My DroidX is on Android 4.2 and it was one of the first Android phones Motorola ever made. Seems like you could upgrade your devices if you are willing to flash newer roms.

These phones are dead development and run best/latest of the custom roms/kernels/recoveries that were made for them, so kinda not worth fooling with. Plus work for all things I need with ease. Yes you could say I could manually build roms based on what is already given, but issues of ARMv6 CPU is problem. (Custom ports (ARMv6) for ICS are way unlikely for these phones).
But Trebuchet may be interest to others here to say at least.

Fair enough i just enjoy putting new versions of Android on phones that really should not have it. Though the DroidX does run 4.0 for the most part fine if I disable all the multitasking features.
Honestly it would be better for people just to install Cyanogen if they like Trebuchet. I think it might offer more of the customizability the OP seems to want out of the box with still looking like stock android.
Say I were to root my phone. If I installed a ROM like Cyanogenmod, could I go back to Touchwiz/stock?
If you just root a phone it will stay stock. If you flash a ROM like Cyanogen you will lose the stock rom. You can flash stock either using ODIN or RSD Lite depending on the phone.
I have no idea why you would want to put Touchwiz on a phone other then a massive head injury however it is as easy to put back on a phone as it is to take off.
This all depends on the device and carrier, some phones are more unlocked then others. Also carriers matter, my GS4 ships with an unlocked boot loader from Sprint, but it ships locked on Verizon.
I'm just curious, is there a back that can replace the plastic back on the Note 3 with a metal, better quality back? Also, if I were to root a device and put cyanogenmod on it, would I be able to go back to Touchwiz/stock?
Dang, the forums are really acting weird. I posted something, then I check back an hour later to see if there are any replies, but my post wasn't even there. Then I post another thing, then check back again, and I didn't see either post, then I come now, post something, and then all my posts are now shown, but when I try to edit them, they say NO_SUCH_POST.
Anyone else having same problems?
P.S. Is there any way to delete a post?

The reason I would want to go back to Touchwiz is because all the cool features made for the Note 3 can only be used on Touchwiz.

That is nonsense, pure nonsense.
Touchwiz is just a custom launcher is all, and there is FAR better launchers out there and tweaks. You cannot add "hardware" features by software. It is there, XDA/AndroidForum people will make ways.
Touchwiz (Samsung) and Sense (HTC) is just a marketing thing, that is literally all it is.
I know not of any custom metallic back-plates for Note 3, I doubt any really exists unless you get one customly made, but that wont be cheap of course.
Well, yea, I would want to return to Touchwiz considering all the S Pen, multi window, etc. features, but I'm just curious, why do people hate Touchwiz? I read somewhere an article about why people hate Touchwiz, and his answer is because people don't like being forced to use certain things. He said that if something like Cyanogenmod was A skin made by Samsung or whatever, and Touchwiz was a custom ROM like Cyangenmod, people would probably hate Cyanogenmod and love Touchwiz.

Cyanogen follows the stock Android conventions for how it looks. Touchwiz is slow and changes where a lot of things are. Cyanogens settings menu for the options that Android have they are in the same place.
It's because Touchwiz is too far of a departure from stock Android, and adds in a bunch of useless functionality that ultimately slows the device down. Personally, I hate Touchwiz because there's so much software-side input lag (some tests show over 150ms), which people have been able to remove by installing a custom ROM.
I would like to see sources on this? The only situation where I could see this happening is if the Android version was pre android and the custom rom was post project butter.
I'm just curious, if I were to root a Note 3 and put Cyanogenmod on it, would it be like special for the Note 3? As in like all the S Pen features/apps, multiwindow for the big screen, and other cool features like that?
There's actually no source I'm aware of, it's just my personal guess and the guess of a few other's I've seen around the internet. I've tried CyanogenMod on my Note 2 and the input lag is much lower there.
Project Butter was to make the overall feel more smooth, like the window transitions, the app transitions, the rotation, etc. It didn't improve much in terms of input lag, especially not when the input lag I'm talking about is particular to just the Note 2 and the S3, apparently.
[size=medium]
It would be special for the Note 3 in the sense that it would be compatible. Nothing else. All the software features are consistent throughout every version of CyanogenMod for every phone, so there would be no S-pen or multitasking features.
Butter changed how the phone handled input events before they used to buffer the events now it does not.
I'm just curious, are there ROM's out there for Touchwiz, Timescape (Sony's UI), etc? Sony's Timescape UI is looking very nice, especially the music player.
