I got an Anted 300 case and a Corsair HX750 PSU. I also got $100 spending money from my grandparents, which is going towards a new motherboard and RAM.

i5 4670k @ 4.9GHz - Stock Heatsink - The rest is melted silicon but I think I have a graphics card in there somewhere It surprises me how many people on this forum can't read benchmarks.
I treated my self really nice this year, Got 2 Gigabyte HD 7950 3GB GDDR5 Radeon graphic card Crossfired, Intel 3770k I7, 1080P 39inch television for a 3rd monitor.

As you can see, a 2700k (which is a 2600k just clocked like .3ghz higher) is the same performance as a 3770k. Making the 3770k, pointless for a gaming oriented rig. It is the same story with zip and rendering benchmarks. The 3930k is no better for gaming but it does pull ahead a decent amount in rendering and other related processes. 3770k is a crap cpu, if you must go i7, go 2600k or 3930k.

Actually, a 2700k is a 2600k with a 3770k's clock speeds - They just gave it a 100MHz speed boost.
IB brings enough IPC improvements to warrant getting it over the 2600k, save for overclocking. If you're going to OC a 3770k for gaming however, you're doing it horribly wrong. Plus, the 3770k is cheaper at Microcenter.

You should also know that the 3930k is also a 2011 socket costing more then the 3770k as well, The 2600k is also end of life i'd would have to order from the U.S if i were to get one probably costing the same price. I also do a lot more stuff then just play games with my system im very happy with my 3770k, But lets not go off topic. ^.^

I got an XFX 6870, a Cougar A560 PSU*, a pair of JVC Ham5X headphones, and with the rest of the money I got from family I will probably buy a new monitor.
Not the most reliable PSU, but it was cheap and is working well.

A bit overkill isnt it?
not to mention 3770k is a bad cpu, if you absolutely want i7, get 2600k or 3930k. 3770k is just bad...
What...?
