Stuff like this happens to me all the time, except I'm surrounded my non-techies most of the time so whenever I try to correct them I just get yelled at and told I'm an idiot.
A friend (who knows little about computers) asked me, "What video card do you have in your computer?" So I started to say, "I have a Radeon HD . . ." Before I could finish, he said, "Nope. Nvidia is better."

In short, my friend's an Nvidia fanboy.
I'm not a fanboy i want what ever has the most power
Wouldn't you like to have a Traktor Kontrol F1 though?
As long as you have a computer you can use the virtual knobs in traktor and I believe in the newest version you can fire off little samples for remixing too, scratching is another story. Otherwise it works with pretty much any MIDI capable mixer/launchpad or whatever. I was actually able to set up a little rig with a non-midi mixer somehow though, only some of the knobs dont work so I have them mapped to my akai keyboard.
I'm currently debating an Intel build for a workstation, but I recently bought an AMD FX-8150 system, which I have to say I'm really impressed with. I stuffed it with some ECC RAM (because of server), which I couldn't really do with an Intel machine, not without paying a lot of money for Xeon gear.
But... I'm pricing up an Intel VS AMD workstation. I know Intel will give better performance and lower power consumption (and thus lower noise), but I do rather feel I'm paying for the privilege.
another benifet of having AMD they dont mind super cold 8.4ghz

Yeah, I know what you mean. While Intel does give you better performance it seems like they charge just a little more than they should. Not a whole lot, mind you, but enough to feel like you pay a little for the brand. However, that really isn't uncommon. Look at Nike, they make you pay for the brand on their shoes. Especially true for other clothing stores like Eddie Bauer. I'm kind of rambling here, but the point is this feeling is found at any retailer or consumer industry.

This is one area where BD is not to bad is cheap workstation builds. Stick with the AMD one if you really need more power at least wait for Piledriver I honestly think it will best the I7 in highly threaded work while running Windows 8 or a Linux based OS.
I don't think so, AMD's price is quite lower than Intel's. Though it isn't as good either. They also aren't pure evil...
They are lower priced, but if you compare an intel processor and an AMD processor that are at the same price point, the intel would win. I think you are completely missing my point.
How is Intel evil well how is it more evil then any other corporation.
Actually Intel seems to be one of the lesser evils of companies and corporations. They promote equality in the work place in all ways and on all levels. Sometimes to a bit of an extreme, but still better than some places with the "glass ceiling" and other such restrictions.

Well other then paying companies not to use AMD and releasing toxins illegally in Mexico no they have done nothing wrong.

I'm shootin' lasers. . Pew pew pew. . .
Good point there, should of specified the gaming AMD cpu fanboys.
Well, if you where going for a higher end card, but not top of the line AMD is usually the best.

That would make AMD like apple.
Thinking about coming a mod to simply not moderate.

I've heard worse.
