I just got a new MacBook Pro with OS X Lion, I have a windows 7 pc, there I have my maps, my mooded jar and textures packs, I want to send them to my mac, I uploaded them to mediafire, downloaded them in the mac, and opened the .rar with the unarchiver, but nothing was there, but if I open it with other windows PC everything is there, any help? (I already found the minecraft folder, with the bin and resources and those)
I tried with a disc, nothing, a pendrive (USB) nothing. (If i can't move the jar its okay, but I really need my maps)
If you mean you tried to decompress the file with "The Unarchiver" (a third-party program that can unarchive almost any type of file there is), then I'm not sure what the problem is. If you mean "Archive Utility" (Apple's first-party program that can only properly do .zip and java files), or "Stuffit Expander" (Apple's not-working-too-well .RAR unarchiver), the reason you're getting a blank file is because those programs are wither not specialised for .RAR files, or don't work very well (respectively). I'd recommend getting The Unarchiver, which is free and can do more than Stuffit Expander and Archive Utility combined.
Note that there are three Minecraft's, one for Windows, one for OS X and one for Linux. This means that while your worlds will be intact, and can be used on all three OS's (any texture packs will also be usable); you will have to download a new "Minecraft" folder no matter what.
We did not invent the Algorithm. The Algorithm consistently finds Jesus. The Algorithm killed Jeeves. The Algorithm is banned in China. The Algorithm is from Jersey. The Algorithm constantly finds Jesus. This is not the Algorithm. This is Close.
