And MineCraftMac derpped all the way home with his shiny case with poop inside of it. Only to realize that he needed to buy a professional in home setup of his mac before he could hit the shiny barely functional power button. The mac pro came in, plugged in the power cord, hit the button for him, showed him how to use the mouse, and then charged him 400$ for 10 minutes of work. Wait no that can't be right that's too cheap. But Dr. Derp wanted some more RAM, so he asked mac pro to upgrade an extra 4GB of ram for him. It was extremely cheap, only 200$ for 4GB of RAM. Surely this was the best RAM he could get on the market. Then Dr. Derp posted about his brand new 1200$ case on the minecraft forums only to be told the truth, and got really mad. Moral of the story: If you don't bother to RESEARCH don't come and tell us you know what you're doing.
Wow, I never noticed that idiot's other statement...an i5 dual-core & integrated video card, without even looking at the other parts, shouldn't add up to $1000. If he can't afford a proper GPU, then he sure as hell can't afford other parts that justify the extra $500, at least.
MinecraftMac, learn to research your topics before you blurb out ********.
Don't give us the whole stability and no virus ******** because none of that is true.
Windows can be just as stable.
Actually, Macs will not get viruses.. From what I've read on your posts, you implied that you don't have one so you wouldn't know, correct? I will say that macs can get certain viruses, but very few.

They are just as capable of getting viruses as windows. They just own so little of the market share that there is absolutely no point in giving them viruses. I guarantee you that if apple keeps growing you will soon see an increase in the amount of viruses.

Macs will and can easily get viruses, just as easily as windows computers.
It is not "very few" the figure is doubling every 3-5 months. In the past month alone there have been 13 new rogues.

Apple spreading ******** again? Macs can get viruses just as easily as a Windows PC, it's just that it has such a small market that no one bothers to write any for it. There is absolutely no proof of something Macs have that prevent them from catching viruses.
How about that small desktop alienware just came out with a few months ago? Looks pretty good. Good luck on finding a good PC, hope it works. I myself am getting an M17x laptop soon.

Out of date?Macs can run the newest OS for more then a year.Look,I'm not trying to say Mac is perfect.Because they certainly aren't.I'm just saying that Macs are a great choice for a new computer. And while all these huge PC's you guys are talking about are great. The Mac beats them a 100 times over for everyday practical use.And going back to an older post saying the OS can't run anything?I'm pretty sure the Mac can run Windows apps but Windows can't run Mac apps.
So you bought a go cart in a white case for the price of a Ferrari? Man of the year

If you have the money for an M17x, get a Sager or Asus.
I could have gotten the exact same specs he has in my laptop if I were willing to spend $700ish rather than the $600ish I did.....over a year ago.
