Well, one of the pictures just posted showed a laptop for $1000 dollars that is about as good as a mac for over $2000.
Also, if you don't like windows and don't want to pay too much for a computer, you could try linux.

Every current £800 custom build pc could wipe the floor with the mac, often macs use underpowered hardware and it is sold at a premium.
Don't give us the whole stability and no virus ******** because none of that is true.
