That sounds amazing! I am probably going to sound really stupid by asking this but how much ram does it have over all? And is there anyone you know that uses this kind of computer that i could watch a video on or something?
It has 1 stick that has 4Gigs of RAM. Then the video card has 3gigs of ram for its self that is mostly overkill for todays games but if you ever get a monitor higher then 1080p or a triple monitor set up you should be good.
A lot of people have the processor in that build the I5 2500k it is the best gaming processor on the market.
Also ignore the fact the ram is AMD with an Intel cpu that will not cause problems.

so does the one stick of 4 Ram help out with the 3 gigs of Ram in the video card? Or are they used for different things?
Surely 2x2gb would be better for a dual channel config?
I barley trust wintec as a brand was part of the reason I changed it .
Ya dual channel will probably yield some better performance tho Sandybridge is not memory bandwidth hungry.
Granted he could just buy two sticks.
Do you think it would be worth while to spend a bit more money on a better ram stick? Even if it goes over my budget :tongue.gif:
To a point, performance wise you won't see much of a difference, but if you go with a more trust worthy brand you have less likely-hood of encountering issues.

AMD uses patriot to manufacture the ram. I trust patriot as one of the better brands.
The computer in my siggy was $620 on mwave.com - it can run a Skype call while playing Minecraft maximized with two Chrome windows open, all while livestreaming Minecraft in 720p to twitch.tv with XSplit. AT WELL OVER 60 FPS.
Although I'd recommend you get an Intel Core i5 2500k processor and a nVidia GeForce 560 Ti instead, would do you much better for gaming.
I originally posted it from my phone as a copy paste then once I got home I was double checking things and started to move stuff around. Probably should have waited tell I was home to post in the first place.
Thanks so much Xaanos! I am going to order this build in the next couple of days! Thanks a lot for all your help! And just to be sure, the build posted now is the final one that is the best?

xaanos' build is insane and great for the price, but switch to the RAM etfj mentioned, more bandwidth = better rendering for any videos / editing videos and it's the same price

Thanks! It's so awesome to hear everyone giving feed back! I will be sure to get that ram, and it is insane for the prices he found them at!
How many sticks would could it hold? And thanks again for all the help! It means a lot!
Most modern motherboards can hold four sticks, but really you only need 4~8gb of ram. You may be better off with a 560Ti instead of a 7950 because it's cheaper and the 7xxx series is a bit overkill for today's games. I would downgrade a bit on the GPU and upgrade the RAM and get an SSD instead of a hard drive because chances are you can salvage one from an old computer. Don't get me wrong though, his build should max out any games.

I play and record maps that have been over looked and that deserve more hits! There are plenty of diamonds out there!
I edited the post shortly before I replied replacing it with a single AMD RAM stick.
The 4gig stick supplies the CPU with information and Vram provides the video card with information.

Buying two allows them to be put into DualChannel mode increasing memory bandwidth so I would do that.

Pretty much this, I was talking as a general...
I thought maybe you saw the build before I edited it for like the 8th time to the AMD stick. I really abused the edit button on that build.
I saw both, and yeah you kinda did...

Or you could get two sticks of the ram in my build get better performance and more ram.
Didn't see the updated version, ipod crapped out and desktop was in use >.<

CPU - Intel i5-2500k
GPU - Radeon HD 6900 series or if you have the money the new 7000 series
