I hope this goes in this part of the forum. But anyways, if you're reading this i hope you have some knowledge on how to record and edit properly because that's what i want to do but i need help , i know how to record but i'm trying to find the best settings to record with on fraps and i don't really know how to edit clips or fast forward rubbish bits or building. and add text for example i'm doing at tut on youtube i want the writing to pop up saying the next step since my mic sucks eggs. Any knowledge appreciated and i will add your youtube name if you have one in the description of my first minecraft VIDEO~!
Its quite hard to understand what you're trying to say, but most things like this can be found by searching Google, or YouTube. If you can't find it, try re-wording your search, or finding the professional/most used term for it.
Increasing Video Speed = Fast Forwarding.
Video Start Text/Animation = Intro.

I've already spent money on my software i don't want to spend any more until i've become good at using software or have the money too. What i mean but adding text is like lets say i'm doing tut the next step in the video would be a black screen saying now do Y AND Z to get X
Sorry, but what is this "ultra high-def effects?" After Effects is for motion graphics, compositing and visual effects, not for editing. By this, it can be used to manipulate footage by adding components and such, or creating something from scratch, using solids, shapes and such. "High Definition" stands for a resolution of 1920x1080. This just shows the resolution, but nothing about the quality, bitrate, colour depth, etc. 1080p video is not always "good quality" at all, many cheap phone cameras and low end handycams are capable of shooting 1080p video. Still, videos can suffer from rolling shutter, lots of noise, not to mention the camera operations too. You cannot have an "ultra high-def effect," as not only does "ultra high def" exist, but that'll just be an effect that scale footage to be 1920x1080. Last, at $610 is is not a cheap program, not is it at all required for editing.
Also, you don't need more than 25-30fps. Any more would probably fill up your hard drive, but won't increase quality too much. I believe YouTube compresses it heavily anyways and locks the frame rate, so no point shooting at such an odd fps of 45.
OT : For basic functions of Sony Vegas, the should be plenty of YouTUbe videos. Editing a Minecraft LP/ Tutorial really doesn't require any advanced functions.
1. What I mean by "ultra high-def effects" is that the effects look real.
2. Fraps take out 10FPS on what ever you set your FPS to lock on. Having 20FPS in game is not suggest-able especially if you're recording.
3. I said to him if he really wanted to go into editing and all that stuff, he can get Adobe After effects.
