So, recently my Skull Candy earbuds broke, so now I'm listening to music through the right earbud only, and I can barely hear bass which sucks. So, I need a new pair to drown out the noise of life and lose myself in my own thoughts, as I love to do oh so very much.
However, there isn't much money to give to this cause, so it has to be $20 and below, or somewhere around there. I prefer, extremely prefer earbuds, in fact I'm tempted to say recommend earbuds only, because I have long hair and I don't know how to wear headphones with long hair. Anyway, the requirements:
Needs to have bass
Get kind of loud (Dollar store earbuds can't get loud at all)
Well manufactured, as in won't break in a few months like my Skull Candys for no reason
dude... you cant get quality headphones for 20 bucks.
Sony's MDR XD-200 begs to differ. It's not super high quality but even some of the "audiophile" types give it a pretty good review. I've certainly found them to be stellar. (but using them while travelling would make you look rather silly)
I've never been partial to earbuds. I've always found them sort of gross. But the ones that came with my Walkman that I bought three years ago were actually quite good too. I think you can buy them separately, and I don't see them costing more than 20 or so dollars. I say "were" because I accidentally sent them through the wash and they got hopelessly mangled and torn apart.
When it comes to earbuds, paying more usually doesn't get you more above around the 30 dollar mark, you start to pay for the advertising and brand name rather than better quality components.
I second the iFrogz I found a pair when I was on a bush walk, they'd probably been there for a while. I took em home, cleaned them and they lasted me 2 years, excellent bass too.

Opinions are like armpits. Everyone has one and some stink, now if someone says your armpits stink it isn't very polite to go rubbing it in their face, it isn't going to make them say yours doesn't stink it'll just make them dislike you and your armpit even more. Remember keep your armpits and opinions respectful.
