So I've been looking around for something I can use as a PC monitor and for my xbox, and havent been able to find something between 20"-26" for under $250. Help? :biggrin.gif:
Thanks, but I dont see where the video cables for the xbox would go, are there any?
Connect the xbox to the monitor via HDMI for video.
Use optical out or another optical cable for audio.
If you mean an actual television rather than a monitor, they are expensive right now due to the holidays, the best time to buy them is between march and july when the new models are rolled out and old ones are 20-50% cheaper.
of course there is such a thing as 1080pi
1080 describes the vertical resolution of a screen. 1920x1080 is the complete resolution.
No, you just have your facts wrong.
1080p is not the same as 1080i, and there is no such thing as 1080pi. 1080 refers to the vertical resolution while it either has an "i" for an interlaced image, or "p" for a progressive scan image.
Please at least check wikipedia before spreading misinformation. :/
and also the op is asking for a tv/MONITER!
and this moniter got good ratings. so someone who doesnt even understand what 1080pi is shouldn't be talking.
Yes, but a TV would better suit his needs.
The monitor is still a POS. Good ratings does not mean anything, AOC makes monitors from leftover and knockoff parts, they are all complete utter crap.
1080pi DOES NOT EXIST. Get your facts straight, kid.
Check the wikipedia links. You're confusing your facts. Also this. <3
OP, you will be better off waiting. Even after looking around a bit there doesn't seem to be anything in that price range (in fact it looks like most places are almost completely out of stock for TVs). Like I said in my other post, between March and July is the best time to buy TVs and monitors.
Newegg usually has really good deals on 20-27" TVs but they don't seem to have much of anything decent for LCDs (they have lots of Plasmas and LEDs but they come with a high price premium).

$249, 180pi, 27", Awesome.
180pi? What?
Do not buy a monitor/TV from best buy. EVER.
my bad, i meant 1080pi.
It is one amazingly awesome mother ****ing, ***** squelching, bunny humping, master chief armor wearing, aids curing MONITER!!!
Any suggestions?
There is no such thing as 1080pi........
And no. It is terrible, AOC makes terrible monitors. It's not even a TV.
are you on crack?....

For your consideration:

1080pi does not exist, only 1080p or 1080i. Same with 720p and 720i.
