Now I'm wondering how I could run TF2 with this computer. I'm a complete newb to the game so I have no idea what settings it has, ect. All I need to know is the average FPS I should get while recording. After talking with my father for a while, he wanted to get me a Dell. Then we built an XPS 8300 and Inspiron 620 (both desktops). We kept the Specs the same and the price came out better on the Inspiron so now I'm hoping the choice will be worthwhile. Here are the specs, all I need is to know how far I can push Minecraft with this computer. (Highest texturepack, render distance, fancy, recording with Bandicam/FRAPS, ect.)
He bought you a computer........
And you're worried it's not going to be good enough?
Well, you have a point.
I wanted to make sure he bought me the best computer for a low cost, and the fact that it was a low cost made me worry that I'd be getting this computer and not having the power so I can make better quality YouTube videos, which would really upset me because I really want to make good videos for my fans, and this is the improvement my channel has been waiting for.

It's good. Since it's not dual/triple/quad core, it will take longer computing time, but should take more RAM upgrades.
Should be fine.
Honestly, it will push to the max. 256x256 texture packs without any issues really. Should keep and stay at steady FPS and probably handle pretty big TNT explosions. It will play and record same time well, or should anyway "I see no reason it shouldnt". That is a pretty nice PC to say, though graphics is limited for anything more demanding.

You just blew my mind. I never thought an Inspiron could ever wish do that, since I run an Inspiron laptop right now lol...
And also, what do you mean by "though graphics is limited for anything more demanding"?

I mean, dont expect hardcore gaming or GPU demanding game playing on that. That HD 6450 is not all out powerful. Other then that, it has some pretty good hardware, the processor is good, memory as well.
Yeah, don't listen to all these people telling you it's super-awesome, it's a good CPU but the GPU is rather low-end. It'll run Minecraft fine, but don't expect it to run more demanding games too well. You also won't be able to upgrade the GPU much without replacing the power supply.
Well does that mean I can at least play something like AVA Online no problem? That's probably the highest I need to go with this.
Please answer what is in bold please? Thanks for the responses though, I'm REALLY excited now :smile.gif:

I just really need to know if this computer is going to let me down or not. I'd rather not wait to see what happens lol...
well it isn't the greatest computer for gaming, but for minecraft that is almost ideal as far as power for money goes. You have a decent processor, plenty of ram, and not a great graphics card, but a dedicated one that can definitely run minecraft.
I would assume you can play far an fancy, a really high res texture pack might slow it down, but x64-x128 packs should run fine. as for fraps, I can't guarantee you won't lag if you try to record at max settings with texture packs, but if the settings are down a notch im failry certain you will be able to record just fine.
The title of this topic just makes me rage... You got a free computer, how can you not be happy with that?
I gotta save for my own computer. Still running on a Pentium 4 computer with a Nvidia 9500 GT. (That's pretty much all i know about my computer) but come on..
Anyway as far as my knowledge goes it looks good, maybe get a better graphics card late
Agreed! I also have a Pentium 4 and a nVidia 9400 GT 1gb though. Your computer is better than my desktop. I would love to have that computer, I am having to save for my computer. You should feel lucky.
That is all,

Specs
Intel® Core™ i5-2320 processor(6MB Cache, 3.0GHz)
Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64Bit, English
6GB3 Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1333Mhz - 2 DIMMS <-- I edited in the 6. But I'm pretty sure it's the same thing.
500GB4 SATA hard drive (7200RPM)
AMD Radeon HD 6450 1GB DDR3
Dell 1525 Wireless-N PCIe Card
And you're worried it's not going to be good enough?
Really? Could you tell me how far I can push Minecraft?

You could

I asked for more RAM, but he said no. I don't want to tell him about Youtube because I really have no idea how he'll respond to that.
I already have 64 videos with Bandicam. I know that fact so well.

Everything else is pretty good, though. Don't worry about the RAM, 6GB is plenty for games.

But to answer your question, it will run minecraft fine maxed out, maybe even with a 128x128 texture pack if you are lucky.
But it looks good.
