The early trailers looked better then the beta maybe they weren't ultra but they were not medium. Possibly high maybe.
Either that or they were rendered via the tech demo, which was between medium and high but also was not suitable for very much in terms of actual gameplay since it was so unfinished.

Either way a gtx580 will easily run high at a solid 60 fps.

Possibly, we just don't know yet.
You might be able to get away with high if you lower the AA.
Although with that said you should lower the AA anyways since high and ultra are supposed to set it to x16AA and possibly x32, which is stupid since even on the highest resolution monitor available currently you cannot tell the difference between x8 and x16--let alone x32.
Had you gius read earlier comments you would have found he wanted a maxed out computer and it had already been solved with a far better build than the one suggested a couple of posts above. Apple isn't a bad company at all, in fact I have a MacBook Air and for the things I do its far more compact and cheap than any other CPU I've ever owned, its only $750 essentially when I claim it (no tax). I really don't understand what the **** OP is thinking, its like buying a car thats capable of 240 km/s when the maximum speed limit here in AUS is only 100 km.
In addition to my MacBook Air, which I use as my main, if there's something it can't handle I simply use my build which is what I suggested to OP, although with two Radeons and an Antec case. Not that I would ever do such things, I would only ever game on a console. Playing GTA on a PC is stupid, it was one of the worst console ports ever and while the same can't be said for games like cod, my personal preference is PS3.

Apple is a bad company.
They play you like the fool you are.
They charge upwards of 200% and even 1,000% in some cases for the exact same components, just in a shiny case.
Their computers have terrible build quality.
They make you PAY for SOFTWARE UPDATES.
Their OS is barely backwards-compatible, in addition, when you upgrade the OS their response is to "buy the software again".
It is 100% about image and 'being hip' while not at all being about the actual products.
Apple could sell large, long, cylindrical feces with their logo and people would still buy them.

You could have gotten a computer with the exact same specs, upgradable RAM/hard drive, and a replaceable battery for $400 easily, if not less.
No? You don't think so? What are the macbook's specs then. I will go and find one for you.
Guys, just end the thread already. I'm pretty sure the OP has already made his choice and now you guys are just turning this thread into a big sh*t storm. Nobody is going to win the fight okay. /thread

Nobody's perfect, so neither is Hannah Montana Linux, but it's pretty great.

They all suck. They just suck differently. Sort of like prostitutes.

Early trailers were from the alpha and beta, which are both locked at "medium" settings.
Even if you set it to ultra in the beta, the engine is still locked at medium and there is no difference in quality.
