am i the only one obsessed with the fact that we may have awesome things in the future?
Proof of development
I don't mean any farfetched things but something like deus ex, real steel, or something else like touch screen kitchen counters, using your wall as your computer, your phone can be a hologram in your wristwatch/implanted. Maybe even advancements so our generation can live to 150. What do you think the future holds, and please, no 2012 apocalypse bullBLAM! related posts
What's that?! I can have a screen half the size of my current one for TWICE the price? What a deal.
BUT IT BENDS!
This is nice and all, but half of these gadgets serve no purpose other then to look glossy. And speaking of glossy, lets talk style. Some of these inventions/gadgets already exist. You've never heard of them you say? Well that's because of how "ridiculous" they look. No matter how advanced your super portable flexible computer+bathroom plugin is. If it doesn't look good people won't buy into it, they'd all rather their 500$ purses. As long as there's our society, there's no portable computer glasses. Now back to it all being useless, note that this only applies to a limited amount of gadgets. The reason the computer has been doing so well for so long is because it does what it does, and nothing more. People buy computers to surf the web, play games, watch movies, all at the same place. Now imagine having a computer in each of the rooms that you live in. All of them with these fancy displays and all equipped with interactive touch screens! Facebook in your bathroom you say?! That's nice and all, but paying thousands of dollars just to access your favorite websites while on your toilet is not worth it. (shocker, I know)
Oh yeah, then people wouldn't even have to learn to be effective communicators, they could just think things to communicate and let their vocal chords atrophy.
I think you're missing the point here. It'd be used in the classroom so you don't have to manually write. I know, everyone is lazy as **** these days. And it's also partially my fault for not wording it well.
