Requirement for minecraft is 4GB but I would go to 8gb so 4gb for minecraft 4gb for the OS or windows

Using a version newer than 1.12 (e.g 1.13+), requires you to have at least 4GB of RAM allocated to your server.
Plugins/Mods/Modpacks/Textures are excluded from the RAM, as the code in each server is bigger than in previous versions.
