The majority of us have either used, mods, maps, ot texturepacks, so we need file extracting programs.
That is just the topic of todays poll, so which do you use:
WinRar or 7Zip?


I, for one, prefer 7Zip.

Same, although Archive Manager is a nice way of doing it, with a GUI to boot. :smile.gif:

I use Winrar, since 7Zip is ugly and Winrar gets the job done fine.

Well, I have to go with WinRAR because it can compress to .rar, which is a big bonus. It also has some other choices that 7Zip doesn't have. But 7Zip is free, so on a 10-point scale, WinRAR is 10, and 7Zip is 9.7.

7Zip. It's more lightweight, and while the UI is a bit clunky, it works.

Who needs a UI for a archive manager? Just right click --> extract here.

7zip has been a lot better for me. Plus WinRAR was a pain in the ass for me back in like 2006.

7zip. Only 7zip. I find it much easier to use.

7zip, because it really is free (winrar is merely a trial with shitty licensing code), it supports more formats and the 7z format has better compression.

Because I prefer the display over 7zip..
