I still need a power supply and case so if you could recommend one (or atleast tell me how much wattage I need) that would be awesome.
Pretty sweet, although you might be best off looking at slightly faster ram, 1600 or 1800 perhaps as the cost difference is pretty minimal.
The i7 is pretty power hungry but you should be fine with an 800/850W psu, case of course is purely up to you as its more of an aesthetic choice than anything.
My PC is not quite this good and I can run games like StarCraft II on the highest graphics setting with no lag, therefore yours should be more than enough. I would recommend in terms of power at least 500 watts, as that is what I use for my, again, slightly-less-fancy computer. 600 or more would be ideal. The case you use doesn't really matter as long as it's big enough for all the parts. Also, you didn't mention what OS you are going to use, but if it makes any difference as to the necessary hardware, my computer runs Windows 7.

Wow! only a few minutes have passed and I get all this help, thanks. I'll probably be using windows 7 (xp is outdated and I don't like my brother's vista laptop).
Since it seems like you have a fairly high budget I will give you some high end stuff.
But first i would change your processor to the i5 2500k which is $100 cheaper I believe. It still performs the exact same in games. That saved $100 will go towards a better graphics card. ASUS gtx 570
Use the Corsair 650Wfor the powersupply. For a case I would choose this one or this one. But everyone has diferent tastes and opinions.

Well I don't plan on overclocking just because I'm too cheap to buy fans to cool everything. Also, when I checked the specs of the i7, it said that it only supports up to DDR3-1333.

Wow, wow, wow. Why would you recommend faster RAM? Do you know that high speed RAM has hardly any real world performance difference over the basic 1333 MHz RAM?
And whoever recommended the Silverstone PSU and HAF 922, +1
Yes, I do. Hyperthreading creates virtual cores which act as real cores. They work at about half the speed of a real core. So a 4 core w/ hyperthreading works similar to that of a six core.
- Core i7 2600 LGA 1155 (quad core)
- EVGA's NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 1024MB GDDR5 video card
- Western Digital's Caviar Blue 500GB 7,200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive
- ASUS's P8H67-M LE-R3 LGA 1155 H67 mATX Intel Motherboard (supports up to 16gb RAM)
- Corsair's 4GB DDR3-1333 (PC3-10666) CL9 Desktop Memory Module (for now)

Thinking about coming a mod to simply not moderate.
Low Price-Diablotek Epic ATX Mid Tower Case ($39.99)
Mid Price-AZZA Spartan 102E Mid Tower ATX Gaming Case ($64.99)
High Price (for me)-AZZA Toledo 310 Mid Tower ATX Case ($74.99)
And I guess this is my power supply:
-Corsair Enthusiast Series TX650 V2 650 Watt ATX Power Supply
Help is still great until then and everyone who helped will get a +1 at the bottom right of their post. :smile.gif:
Nope, you still lack the 4 extra virtual cores. Two more cases to add to jo3 suggestions are the HAF 912 and NZXT Lexa S.

What? you mean the hyperthreading?
