This is simple, but there happens to be 5 pages of conversation here.
Am i missing something, or are people overthinking things?
if the kid is stupid and tries to fit in too much, then games arent meant for him.
if the kid is somewhat intelligient and can differentiate right from wrong then games may be ok for him.

I think it's okay as long as the child is responsible enough not to try anything stupid based off games. My mom doesn't even let me play T games even though I'm 13. But my dad let's me play almost anything. Here's a list of M games I have:
-gta4
-hl1, hl2, and its episodes
-fallout 1,2,3 and nv (yay fallout!)
-tf2
-cs:s
and a few more I forget.

Those Valve games aren't even bad enough to be M. :smile.gif:
I agree, it does depend on the kids. I dont mind playing with them and actually welcome them cus I feel I can be a big brother and help them but its when they fail to listen to reason or start acting like they are the big dog is when i cant stand em. Prime example is CoD black ops, kid comes into my zombie room, no worry. I dont play to get a high rank anymore I just play and usually quit or get bored around round 30.
But when we all tell him to follow us or to not do something, he does it or wastes the Thunder gun ammo or just simple stuff that shows they are immature...
Off topic: thinking now, it never fails that the least skilled person is given the thunder gun.
I'm okay with it, unless the start yelling in the mic or spawn/hacking/team killing saying "lololo your the noob here u dunno hao 2 fight!"
Because thats happened to me.
alot.
also, I was playing tf2 when I was 10, now 13.

HAHA, you just reminded me of something. I was sitting on the couch while my brother was playing Free for all (black ops) and one of the kids actually yelled "STOP KILLING ME!"
There's a kid who keeps crossing my path who has been ****ing overcome by violence.
It's the only thing he sees in a game.
He masturbates to Man Hunt fatalities and Blood Rayne decapitations.
"Hey, Chow!"
"*This guy again* What?"
"You heard of the new Mortal Kombat?"
"I'm not much of a fighter guy."
"You have to admit it is gory, though. It has X-ray so you can see the bones and guts breaking, and you can pull guys in half, and in some stages you can impale a guy on spikes and his heart comes out, and on a train station, you can smash his head into a train, and-"
"._."
****, I played WoW at like 10 and I was talking to 24 year old dudes about how to tank/heal/etc, and I was BETTER than a lot of people, haha. and whenever I told my age I'd always say I was in like 10th or 11th grade and people wouldn't be like BULLSHITT! Cause I could actually not be a little *****. So, if kids can handle a game like that, I'm fine with it. But a large majority can't.
Well if the kid has some common sense and is somewhat intelligent and polite then I have no problems with them at all. If it's one of those typical CoD kids then it's fun to listen to them complain when they're terrible at the game.

You make me giggle.
You haven't played hl2 have you.
I actually have. It's not that bad...with the exception of Ravenholm. Oh lord.
M games are rated like this:
Has medium+ amounts of blood at any part = M
Ravenholm was my least favorite part. It took me so long to do!
