I think that some teens (and fewer preteens) are mature enough to handle games rated above their ages, but a greater amount of people past the age ratings aren't mature enough. Age may be correlated to maturity, but it really isn't the cause.

Manly blood is both highly acidic AND highly basic, but I'm glad to see you're paying attention.
Now your most likely thinking "oh god no....not another Hate/flame/complaint thread" But this one is different
I'm wondering what you think on younger Children playing mature games(something like a Action FPS "COD" "HALO" "BATTLEFIELD" ETC) Like what do you believe on this matter?....(you don't have to read my opinion you can skip it)
A few I would be concerned about. But I would think there is nothing largely detrimental. I played Halo 2 when I was seven and I don't think I'm insane in a violent way due to it (granted I am insane in a semi-violent way)
In my opinion I believe its Kinda okay if the kid is roughly over 14-15 and up to watch or play these types of video games if they understand the fact that if you did most the stuff in the video games there not just gonna respawn...(or You could die from doing that ETC ETC you know the basics)
>< If The kid doesn't know that much you should kill his pet. The parents should have taken it upon their responsibility early on to teach him that stuff like that is bad. Besides, when was the last time you saw a ten-year old come into a room, shoot everybody, and say he thought they would respawn. It's kindof a stupid worry.
But they still need to be limited from certain games until there more mature.....Plus who ever likes 10 years or under in there match/game? manly because its either there voices(sorry but i had to say it)and its a bit like "how the? did he learn those words?" kinda thing...Even I stop swearing if a kid is in my house(lets say someone bought them with them I would stop playing online and or close my door and Control what i say..
True. True. A cussing ten year old is a great way to ruin a good time. And the swearing is something I don't like either. (Quick question to myself: Why am I on the internet in that case?)
You know common respect for the parents and the child...That's why i hate meeting them online Its kinda like well what do i do?...I wanna have fun but they might or could Inhibit my play, not because i don't like them its just the fact there playing something voilent i would never let a kid see until there older...even though real life may say otherwise sometimes you know if something happens on the street or at school whatever )
Even after that rant I'm gonna say you don't have to read my opinion...I'm asking what you think about little kids in video games Note i don't like flaming or hate But if thats all you feel about this topic just don't post pure hate Its worthless and not worth even talking about(You can however post why for whatever reason you dont like them in games but not "I HATE THOSS *insert Swears slang etc*
I really cant say anything against violence due to lack of experience of being in a strict houshold to that kind of thing. I see it as it would be: A. too scarring. B. Would cause harm. I hope these generations have an gram of common sense so I can tick off B. But I would agree with A.
And I frequently tick off players in strategy online matches when I join (13 yrs of age). I'm inexperienced but I love the game. I agree with their points but the kid can't learn any other way. He could be breezing through top-level AI and still suck against humans. Cut him some slack. But I haven't had problems with that in FPS (Been playing them since I was like 5 or six). Huh. I'm getting side-tracked am I?
Anyways. This is, unfortunatly a topic that needs to be discussed. So I give you a bit of rep.
Ohh goodness, I know I'm going to regret this post tomorrow. Tiredness + Recently Trolling is not a good mix when you are writing a sane, informative post.

Ohai. I'm THAT guy. You know me.
Something something Fimgaming. Shameless Z. Plug out.
i hate derailing the thread, but said "rule" is based off the pattern of immature lil kids. by the very definition of the word pattern, the exception is completely irrelevant to the rule/pattern, as the "rule"(that lil kids are immature)/pattern exists w/o the exception.
therefore the exception is just that: an exception; it's completely irrelevant to the rule you were trying to prove. so the phrase is stupid.
Funny. The rule I was proving might be irrelevant to what you're saying. But if you read the conversation I was having with the guy, you would see that it was quite relevant.
Eh, you haven't seen one of my friends. He literally started going through puberty when he was about eight, it was kinda scary. Like, I went over to his house for a sleepover, and he told me he was going to the bathroom to masturbate (yes, he was 8, I was 9. I had no idea what that meant at that age.)
My -opinion- on the matter is that anyone can play videogames, if the retailers are smart they will ask for an ID or a parent, if the parents are smart, they won't buy that crap.
I think it's fine if what they do is under supervision, e.g. playing minecraft on the "blood and death" pvp server with an adult watching.
My opinion with children and youtube is fine, as long as they don't swear or are moderated, they won't get as far as the firewall.
But if the parents approve, I see nothing wrong with a kid recording gameplay and uploading it.
Especially if they're good at the games they play, if they don't want to do voice, well then they might be a kid, or someone with a cruddy microphone.
Conclusion: Kids need to be supervised, or else they could find places like this!
yes...because you talking about how all lil kids are immature and an exception that would prove you wrong and you see it to supposedly help your case is totally relevant. and also, you were NOT proving any rule >_>. how on earth does an exception to a pattern which is irrelevant and separate to said pattern prove anything. bottom line: the PATTERN establishes the pattern, not the exception. end of discussion on that.
no matter how you slice it, the phrase itself is contradictory and makes no logical sense, and was irrelevant to your conversation. i'll put for you simply: if you are trying to have an argument about how all little kids are immature and shouldn't play games, and then comes along a non-immature kid, you've just been disproven because that means not all lil kids are immature. him being the exception to your assumptions not only doesn't prove any "rule", but it was also irrelevant to begin with because, once again, any pattern exhibited by lil immature kids is separate from the non-immature kids, and the latter doesn't prove the former.
i'm kinda rolling my eyes at how i have to dissect and explain your own conversation you had with that dude to you...but ima drop this whole thing now because i dun wanna derail the thread. but i would suggest you re-read your own conversation and then you'll understand why it makes no sense.
what's CDI? and what's wrong with kids playing video games?
I did explain how it makes sense. But you apparently do not care for it. Ah well, have fun on your horse.
Anyone like below 13-14 or something like that shouldn't be playing M rated games. Didn't get my first one till i was 14. Plus, they're all immature online and think there the shits, but when they lose or die they blame it on their teammates. Also, when like the 9 years olds like go online and just cuss everyone off, it makes you wonder who taught them that and what there parents think.
6+ is fine for all games. As for those who don't like kids on mic's, QQ more. It's generally pretty hilarious, and you can make little kids cry if you put in a bit of effort which always enhances my gaming experience.
Plus I was playing such games at 5-6+ and I turned out perfectly fine.
