All that comes to $477.93 and includes pretty much everything you need except for a cd or dvd drive, which I usually scavenge from old machines. If you scavenge a case from an old machine, you can save some more by just getting a decent power supply to go with it. The motherboard has 4 channels for memory, so the 4 GB included in the setup can easily be double to 8 GB for another $50. Also, you can upgrade the processor to any AM3 chip. For serious gaming, you may want to get a better video card, but the Radeon HD 5570 is a pretty good place to start for a budget build and will handle minecraft with ease.
:biggrin.gif: I like you, and everything you picked out. Although I've never assembled an AMD computer, to each his own.
Don't you still find it ridiculous though that Emachines/Dell are still selling computers for 300-400 USD that only come with 512 MB of ram?
Sad how they pretty much cheat people out of their money, making it seem so much harder to build a computer than it really is. But, I guess that's how everything works in this world. Anyhow, nice build ^^
Well, i have about $500 more dollars. If that can be improved, then please do. You don't have to maximize the budget though. Also, on newegg, i saw a bunch of 4x2 8 GB memory for around $60. Would those be better? Is the build you mentioned good for gaming? It's fairly cheap, and i've heard the more you spend the better the computer.
Do you have anymore suggestions? I want this to be a computer that will last and will do what i need it to.
That will add about $250 to what I posted before. A monitor like this one should be sufficient for you and is about $100.
If you shop around for RAM, check the speed as well as the timings for it. Slower RAM is cheaper. I didn't see a 4x2 GB or 2x4 GB set of the same speed and quality for any cheaper than buying 2 of what i listed before.
If you still want to burn some more cash, here's a 60 GB solid state drive for 109.99. Install your OS and games to that drive for blinding fast load speeds. Put everything else on the other hard drive.
I think we're getting close to your $1000 limit now. If you find a supplier that ships to you, I can toss some parts together there for you, too.
This would play the games you want to play, although not much more.
It also won't be very upgradeable, as socket FM1 is only for APUs and the PSU is rather weak.
Good idea but he doesn't need a 2TB HDD and he doesn't need 8GB of RAM. Use the saved money for a better PSU.

What is it? Also you need to find out a site that ships to guam. Or find a retail store near you like BestBuy or FutureShop.

I think Tigerdirect ships to Guam. I know amazon does. I doubt there is any shops near me that sells computer parts. I'm on my iPod right now so I'll post the build when I get on a computer.

Checked for nearby stores. I found some, but they don't have things i'm looking for. Here's the build i was talking about: Gamer Xtreme 2200
They don't ship to Guam either, but what do you guys think about the parts.
Oh and, do you really think i won't need 8 GB? I was thinking the more the better, and ii_ReKz found me some that are just $20 more than the 4 GB he showed me.
Yeah you could go with that. Upgrade the graphics card to the gtx460 1GB version and change the powersupply to the Corsair CMPSU-650TXV2. Then you are golden. You are still getting ripped off if you order from there.

I could chose the same parts separately on newegg for example and it would be cheaper. Ill do it if you want.

No, but tiger direct and amazon ship here. ii_ReKz is making his build there. In your opinion, do you think i need 8 GB? It's only a $20 dollar increase from the 4 GB.
There is some improvements you can make on rekz build.

I would like to use the second choice stuff, but that's over budget and i might need a new monitor.
@Everyone else: So in your guys's opinions, would you go with ii_ReKz's build or Infired's build? There is a possibility that i might be able to come up with more money before i can order.

Add me and we can play pc
For further upgrades to this, I would get something like:
Radeon HD 6870 Graphics card - 189.99
Updated Motherboard with future AM3+ support and 990X chipset - 149.99
2x RAM listed in first post.
That will add about $250 to what I posted before. A monitor like this one should be sufficient for you and is about $100.

Change it to:
APU: A8-3850
Motherboard: Asrock A75M
DVD Burner
WD Caviar black
G.Skill 4GB
CM HAF 912
Antec 550W
Total:$450 no tax/shipping. I dont think newegg ships to Guam so idk.

No thanks. Newegg doesn't ship to my area so there is no point. Would just be a waste of your time.
