Hi, I'm getting this strange before anything boots up: "Keyboard Failure".
I can't use the keyboard UNTIL WinXP boots. This is a problem because I need to tell the boot loader to run the installer on my Flash Drive manually, which I can obviously only do before WinXP boots.
Any idea how to fix this? Help would be most welcome. :smile.gif:

Are you using an USB keyboard? If so, enable Legacy USB or something similar in the BIOS.
Most computers require you to press DEL or F2 during POST (Power-On Self Test) (BEFORE Windows starts up) in order to enter the BIOS. Since you're getting a keyboard error, You'll probably have to use a PS/2 keyboard for this.

Your computer basically can not run without BIOS. When you press the power button, you should see the logo of your motherboard's manufacturer. Somewhere around it it should say how to enter BIOS settings.
It could be a fault with your keyboard, try using another keyboard or change the port the keyboard is plugged into. (Or you could use the same keyboard on another computer and see if it works, do check if legacy USB is enabled too!) If that doesn't work, go borrow a p2 keyboard from your friend or buy one if you want to save the trouble. I'm not too sure whether using the BIOS is the only way to change the boot order, so you should better find a way to access the BIOS!

I probably sound like a computer newbie when I say this, but how do I access the BIOS?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BIOS
It's also often called Setup by the motherboard.

Mine doesn't have those, and I don't want to buy a PS/2 to USB converter, because if it doesn't work I've wasted my money. :/
Have you tried any other USB keyboards then?
I would try enabling Legacy USB as Quatroking said.
